Cahill is a very good centre back. However Terry is still the glue in our defence. This is why I believe we can't fully replace him with Stones. We need an experienced organiser who can most importantly play leftsided centre back.

Pace has always been an issue for us. We covered it well last two years by pressing the ball higher up. That didn't happen tonight and we were exposed.

I think stones would be a good buy, but we need terry to still be able to perform most weeks or its going to harm us this season.

Otamendi for 28m is a good buy for city though if it goes through. He would be a player that would instantly start. It just depends which way the club want to play it.

Agree on Otamendi. I think he would go into our team straight away. But we're working on Stones which may be better over 10 years, but isn't a solution over 2 or 3 seasons in my view.

I think the club feel that jt, cahill, and potentially ivanovic, have those 2/3 seasons it will take for stones and Zouma to reach the level of an otamendi.

Personally i think stones and Zouma, can get to the required level within 18 months under Mourinho.
