yes remember well, think I've spoken about it before. I was 16 and went with a mate, chelsea end rammed, 68k crowd must of been near on 50k chelsea, as city didn't bring many (things don't change city never travel well when its 30 miles outside Manchester) We had played saints day before and city united, Kerry Dixon was out injured, but during the second half raced into a 5-1 lead, david speedie hatrick! and colin lee 2, lee who when younger had been a striker, but we had converted him to full back some years earlier, but for this one went back up front to replace Dixon. Doug Rougvie our scottish defender then decided to give city a consolation by firing an own goal past Steve Francis, with 4 mins to go, 5-2 still no worries, then 3 minutes later it was 5-4!!! we held on to lift the cup, it wasn't a big cup at all, as introduced as English clubs were banned from Europe at the time. I remember searching the Monday papers to see any match reports as for us it was a big thing, as we hadn't won anything for years. Other memories I have is the whole Chelsea end doing a fantastic rendition of 10 men went to mow during the first half, my parents went and stood in another part of our end, and 10 minutes into the game the terrace being so packed, they were got out by a ladder with other people before getting crushed, they didnt see anymore of the game! and went and had lunch somewhere. The support was very different to nowadays, as there were hardly any replica shirts, it was all lads (pissed) in their finest 1980's casual clothes. During the game the city end was scattered by large chelsea mob, that was then escorted round the dog track to our end, with huge applause and a rendition of "we're proud of you chelsea". Things really have changed nowadays! Happy memories
