clubhappy Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Were Chelsea playing tonight ? It must be me , i dont know , maybe i dreamt we got a memorable win in Valencia and played em off the park in the process , if its somebody playing a joke with my mind then its not funny . Im just curious because all the radio stations i listened to on the way to work only mentioned Unired and there was no talk of any game in Spain . OK,there was , but i couldnt get the jist of what was being said because he was rushed off air .
lauren Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I listened to Talksport after the match and they did nothing but talk about the manks.
BLUENUT Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 A side who can't beat Pompey!! Let them carry on blowing it Utd's arse and they'll start to believe their own press, if they haven't already. Can they play like that for the rest of the season in the league? they'll have to to win it. Once they come up against a good side they'll know about it, not everyone roll's over!!

Once they come up against a good side they'll know about it, not everyone roll's over!! Exactly. Watching them, I've suspected again and again that opposing teams, especially from up North (Bolton anyone?) have been holding back, whether consciously or not, simply because of the overwhelming anti-CFC prejudice of the likes of Sky Sports and TalkTrash. How many of those Rooney/Ronaldo "wonder" goals have you seen where the opposition defence was so wide open you could have driven a two or three horse and carts through there side by bloody side?
ethicalstrategy Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Funnily enough, I was surprised at the amount of coverage we did get in the papers and on the radio this morning. Talksport were fairly even handed. Mr Parry even went as far as to say that Chelsea's result was much more of an achievement than Utd's! Back page of the Times also gave equal coverage to both games. Given Utd's result I think it would have been a bit much for them to have been ignored altogether!
