Hello everyone, my name is Chris and I follow Chelsea since 97/98 season.

I was 10yo then, I lived in Poland, which was barely liberated from the hands of the Soviets. The thought of visiting London and attending a Chelsea game live was as attainable to me as going to Mars.

Since then, I grew up, emigrated to Ireland years ago, but life happened and somehow I postponed this longed-for visit without end (because I still have time, and a million other stupid reasons) However, the last two years' calamities made me realize that all this can move away from me as far as More than 20 years ago, when I was watching the Cup Winners' Cup finals on a Soviet-made TV set, I decided to act as soon as the first opportunity arose.

Last summer I was lucky enough to visit the Stamford Bridge for a tour, see the club museum, and explore the wonderful historic and diverse city of London. However I didn't stop there, I bought a membership for current season and in a little over a week, one of my biggest football dreams will come true and I will have a chance to see a Chelsea match live (I managed to secure a ticket for the match vs City 🙂 ). I also decided that it would not be my first and last visit to the Bridge and I would try to go to matches at least a couple of times a year.

Thank you for accepting me to the forum, happy to be here!

PS.
In order not to create a new topic, I have a question (I doubt anyone would look here, but I will take the risk 😉 ). The official site says that to enter Stamford Bridge you must present the covid test result at the entrance. It says Supporters displaying a negative Lateral Flow result should do so on the NHS app, or via a text message or email from NHS Test and Trace. As I live in Ireland myself therefore my question: Does anyone know how that relates to fans from abroad and whether a simple test made at, for example, an airport is enough?

Welcome, I hope you enjoy the game!

I remember seeing the Chelsea Supporters Trust tweeting at the time that whatever your countries equivalent of a covid certificate is will be acceptable.

On Tuesday night the nhs app wouldn’t load for most people and the stewards just waved us through anyway so make sure you either download or print a copy just incase!

I e-mailed the club last week with the same question. The reply was: whatever proof of double vaccination you can show is good enough. I happen to have the EU corona check for a QR code, the print-out I received at the vaccination venue and the yellow booklet for the International Certificate of Vaccination. If and when I can go the a match again, I'll bring all three  Hopefully by then the UK test regime for foreign visitors will have been abolished....

I think you have a very good point, best to do it whilst you can as who knows what'll happen next... nice to hear you've been able to make it happen, hope you have the best time at the match!

The rules are changing on October 4th. If you’re fully vaccinated and aren’t in a red list country you only have to take a day 2 covid test and fill out some form. No quarantine unless you test positive.
