On this new server, we now have a push notifications facility.

If you have the notification set up to push and allow it in your browser, you will be notified if you are in another tab of new reactions, follows, PM's, etc.

Go to your profile and see Notification Settings HERE Change what you want to 'Push' option and make sure you allow notifications in browser on the prompt.

Its mainly for desktop as doesn't seem to work on iPhone, but android users might get some more luck with it which I'll be interested to know.

Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
