Season Ticket transfer in the event of Holder's death

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Apologies if this isn't in the right channel, I have just joined and am not allowed to post in the ticket threads yet.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with their own experiences or advice.

Unfortunately my Father passed away last week, he had a season ticket for 47 years! I know he wanted to pass it on to me but upon looking at the ticket regulations this requires a letter from the holder (which is of course not possible).

Has anyone ever inherited a Season Ticket before? Would be really grateful for any advice before I contact the ticket office. I am worried they will just cancel the ST if/when I inform them.

Many thanks.

Firstly Pinto, really, really sorry to hear about your Dad. Secondly, 47 years as a season ticket holder is remarkable. Genuinely a true fan who saw the good times and the bad at CFC.

My advice would be contact the box office via the phone first and then gather all the relevant supporting documents, your birth certificate to prove you are his son, death certificate etc. And go to Stamford Bridge in person on a non-match day. I'm sure someone will help you. In the old days Eddie Barnett himself, the box office manager, would have sorted this out personally.
