May 17, 20233 yr Apparently a deal could be possible for him and would allow us to shift the dead weight that is Romelu Lukaku at the same time. A creative deal has been mooted, where we give Inter another 100mill euros for Lautaro and they, in turn, pay us 40mill euros for Romelu, who agrees to lower wages at Inter so we don't end up owning him anything. With Lukakus book value being 60mill it would hit us on a FFP by 20mill to get shot of him, and another 20mill per season for Martinez. Might be where the links to RLC to Mila for 15mill, Chalobah being priced at 30mill and Kova being near all profit at 35mill are coming from .
May 17, 20233 yr After the whole Juve debacle, any deals regarding transfer valuation on players I get a little skeptic and worried as there are loads of risks involved. And why would Inter offload Lautaro in favor of Lukaku?

May 18, 20233 yr They're going to need CL next season or they're in very deep sh*t. Owners borrowed big time from an American private equity mob. Interest rates have climbed and the debt is due next year. If they can't service the debt - ie, find another source of funds - the private equity mob probably takes control. Of course they have a chance to win this year's CL. Well, they've made the final.
June 16, 20233 yr Author Felix Johnson has reported Martinez has been talking to Pochettino "for weeks" and has now given him the green light that he will be willing to sign for us. He is apparently Pochettino outstanding choice for CF.
June 17, 20233 yr Author Apparently our relationship is in the gutter with Inter after the meeting we had with them. Supposedly on the one side Inter came in to that meeting fully expecting us to be more than happy to cough up 70mill euros for Onana, while giving them both Lukaku and Koulibaly as loans, small loan fees and us paying most of both players wages. We expected Inter to be willing to either drop Onanas price to around 40mill euros or do a straight swap for him and Lukaku. Rom expected the loan to happen, for us to pay him most of his wages too. Given all this needle I struggle to see how Inter would agree to sell Martinez to us for anything short or a ridiculous price, same Oshiman money.
