Olympics France vs Argentina, 1800, 2nd Aug 24

I feel really bad about creating this thread because it'll give @Mod more work to do...sry bud, lol.

But France vs Argentina at 1800 on the 2nd of August is all over the news already.

Might be an "action" packed game...!

"That led the French football federation to file a complaint with Fifa over “racist and discriminatory remarks”. While that investigation is still ongoing, a full-scale diplomatic incident erupted between the countries before the Argentina president, Javier Milei, met his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, to smooth things over."

"There has been no such forgiveness shown by much of the French support in the Olympic arenas, with Argentina’s national anthem widely jeered, raising concerns of ugly scenes on Friday evening."

"There will be tight security around the game and the France forward Arnaud Kalimuendo said he expected an “electric match” at the 42,000-capacity Stade de Bordeaux."

I watched highlights of Argentina V Morocco?

Haven't got a clue what happened at the end with that VAR thing then  continues playing in an empty stadium?

Yeah there was an article about it. I missed it.

After the stadium was cleared they came out, var ruled against the aregentina goal and they played the extra 3mins. Smh.

Yeah, I wish they showed the cameras in the tunnel.

They edited the article too...it initially said "punches were seen being thrown in the tunnel..."
