November 22, 20241 yr I write and publish football stories so I keep a close eye on various forums to see what is going on. My first support is Plymouth Argyle and I remember your Scott Sinclair scoring a wonder goal for us against Barnet, still available to see on YouTube somewhere. Don't think he did so well in his later career. Also, we gave you a close-run cup tie a couple of years ago, going to extra time.

He bagged himself the busty lass from Corrie which would have softened the blow of having to play for Celtic!! Always good to hear from fans of other clubs. What is the verdict up to now on Rooney?
November 22, 20241 yr Author Personally I think he is doing the best he can with the low budget unperforming set of players that the club can afford. His name brings a lot to the Club and he is down to earth. For a lad from such a deprived background, he has done well. helped of course by his enormous talent in his younger days. There will always be dark room keyboard critics who for various reasons, usually jealousy or blind adherence to other clubs, will knock him and wish him misfortune. A manager is only as good as the players on the pitch.

Unfortunately I saw you lot beat us 2-1 at the Bridge to knock us out of the League Cup in 1979. You played some wonderful football that night , I believe Malcolm Allison was with you at the time. You were so good that I decided to look out for your results only to discover you were pretty useless if my memory is correct ?

Agree with all except the last sentence although generally right some can get results with tactical team play though generally you would not call it progressive.

Too many more results like that and Rooney will be joining the managerial scrap-heap.
