Virosh Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 There are not many players in the world that I hate; I mean truly, passionately and devoutly, but from now on Mr. Ryan Giggs is my number one. If you haven't taken a close look on what he did to Cech, please do. HOW in earth can you go on and push with your bloody legs onto a player you KNOW can actually die on the bloody stadium. I know it's a final and stuff, but I will never ever forgive him that. That was actually worse thatn Stephen *unt - Giggs knew what might have happened. Disgusting. To think I used to actually respect the guy. I wish you get a reaaaally long and painful injury, mate, possibly a career- breaking one and see how you get along after that OK, I didn't really mean that EDIT: Congratulations to all. Fantastic win and we totally deserved it. Don't let me take you away from celebrations
Kev123 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 In all honesty I don't blame him. If Cech is in even the slightest danger he shouldn't be out there, full stop. Giggs went for the ball, it was a foul, but I don't expect players to tip toe around Cech for fear of him possibly getting hurt. If that is the case he shouldn't be out there.
heckel Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Echo Kev here. Gigg's didn't do anything you wouldn't expect and if Cech's life is really in danger from a challenge like that, he shouldn't be out there. There are no handicap stickers in football!!
Kev123 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 There are no handicap stickers in football!! Except for Robben
Maksimov Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Gotta agree with Heckel and Kev here. Don't agree with the Robben bit, though...

Agree to an extent: other teams' players are not supposed to tiptoe around our goal when they have a chance of scoring (case in point from the same game - Rooney's good run in the second half, stopped fantastically by Big Pete), but look again at the situation - Giggs already saw he had NO chance of taking it, he just didn't stop his body sliding, made NO attempt whatsoever to take his legs away from Cech's head and as soon as he saw the ball behind the line, jumped out without any attention paid to the man down, flicking Cech's head and went on to press the referee to give the goal. I never saw him go to Cech and apologise or at least say: "Sorry, mate, it's a game you know" or something like that. Aarghh
Virosh Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 Jesus Christ! I now see that the whole incident only meant to f*cking Fergie a penalty that wasn't given. How low can you get, I wonder?
Guest Brian M Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 There are no handicap stickers in football!! Guess you never saw Sutton play for Chelsea then...
TT Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 The hunt was 100 times worse ! The hunt had all the time in the world to make a decision whether to try and hurt Petr, and he decided it was best to lead with his knee (to avoid any damage to himself). He then runs away laughing. Giggs, and all of the pundits, who think that was a goal are just complete and utter idiots. According to Andy Gray, as no foul had been given against giggs then it should have been a goal. Utter tosh.
