Posted September 21, 200717 yr Morgan Andersen, the former Sporting Director of Norwegian club Lyn Oslo has been indicted by Norwegian police for forging the signature of Nigerian youngster John Mikel Obi. KICK OFF gathered that a press Conference has been called for late on Thursday to announce the official indictment. Andersen, along with Mikel's agent John sh*ttu were two of the principal characters in the messy transfer of the Nigerian youngster, with sh*ttu insisting that Mikel never signed a professional contract with Lyn Oslo and accusing Andersen of forging the player's signature. Mikel was subsequently transferred to Manchester United on the basis of the 'contract' with Lyn, sparking off a testy transfer dispute with Premier League rivals Chelsea, who claimed ownership of the player. The London club were forced to fork out GBP12 million to United to 'buy back' Mikel, and another GBP4 million to Lyn. On Thursday, sh*ttu confirmed the indictment to KICK OFF. "They called me from Norway a few minutes ago to inform me," he said. "All I want to say is that the boy and I have been vindicated. "We fought a good fight. It was long, it was tough, but I thank God that now the truth has come out as we always knew it would. "Nigerians should learn to trust their own people and not just assume that some other person is right just because he is a foreigner." Andersen's indictment now puts a whole new twist to the situation, with a worst case scenario being that both United and Lyn would have to return the transfer fees to Chelsea. sh*ttu also confirmed that this might be an option for Chelsea "I cannot speak for them, but it is a possibility."
