abramovich
Is there any truth to that? http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=82852 'Chelsea have canceled Scott Sinclair's loan deal with Charlton Athletic. The Mirror says the Blues hoped the loan would help the development of the promising winger, but he was left on the bench for the first three games and was recalled ahead of last night's match at Burnley.' Nibs
Funny that 'cos I had a look last night to see how he got on and notice Charlton lost 1-0 and he wasn't even on the bench. We get Scottie back and Charlton get Malouda. Seems a good deal to me
Guest Sindre
Hope he is on the bench against Derby today. We have to give our talents more time on the pitch so they can develope. Derby should be a easy game anyway.
Tim
I was actually at the Charlton game on Sat (free tickets, still not worth it at all) and Scott was on the bench and only came on after 20 mins due to an injury. I have to say, base on Charlton's showing that day, it is a complete waste of time him staying there, as they don't have a f*cking clue. They had Scott on the left and Lita up front, both tricky/pacey players, and ALL they did all game was hoof the ball meaninglylessly into the sky, time and time and time again. It was honestly some of the worst football I've ever seen and ther Charlton 'fans' were booing the team from the 20 min mark onwards. If Scott going on loan is to make sense, it HAS to be to a club who a) actually start him consistently B) know how to use him and his obvious attributes. (hint to Charlton, he is not Kevin Davies) I'd have him on the bench/pitch instead of Malouda against Derby, that's for sure.
Jimboola69
Didn't we do the same regarding carlton Cole being there but they did not play him. I think we had to pay over £1m in comp in the end!!!!

I'm waiting to see if any of our youth team player will actually make it into the squad. They're investing so heavily in youngsters. I hope its not without any purpose. Our youth team players don't even make the bench in the premiership games.
Tim W
I see neither Chelsea or Charlton are reporting this and to be honest I don't think a club can demand that another club plays a loaned player.

I don't think they can demand that they play - however, there isn't any point of having him there on loan if he is not going to play, so we might as well recall him. As others have mentioned, the same thing happened with Carlton Cole a few seasons ago - but that was a bit different as it was a season long loan, and we wanted to recall him after 6 months. They can't, but they can (depending on the loan agreement) punish the club for not playing them by recalling them early.
Jimboola69
So because Charlton were not playing him he has been switched to Palace! Good idea, Warnock loves wingers so I think he will do well down there.
