personally i would be very happy with this appointment i defenalty would go between him and hughes but am not sure how hughes would handle a big club becuase at blackburn he hasnt got much to loose and carletto does well in europe.

went for ballack becuase his improvement from last season ( when he was compared to sheva ) has been huge, also he started playing regualry when alot of our players were injuruerd or away and was a good leader, i think being captain for that short peroid is what helped ballack turn it on.
