Lofty
You don't hear a lot from Paulo, but there's this on Sky about his new team mate and rival: Ferreira backs BosingwaChelsea defender Paulo Ferreira has backed his Portuguese compatriot Jose Bosingwa to succeed at Stamford Bridge. Right-back Bosingwa sealed his £16.2million switch from Porto to The Blues in May. The 25-year-old is expected to compete for a starting berth with Ferreira and Juliano Belletti in the new season. And Ferreira believes Bosingwa will add much to the Chelsea squad in their hunt for glory. "He is a fast player, which I know from Porto because I played with him there,' Ferreira told the club's official website. "He was very young when I was there and now he is proving he's a good player. "He has improved a lot over the last few years, so I think he is a player who will help us a lot." Mr Chelsea
i was quite pleased with what i saw of him during the euro's, the guy has a lot of pace and likes to get forward looked a bit dodgy at the back at times, but i think he will be a good addition to the team
Jimboola69
The guy looks quality. :) Odd that Paulo is essentially backing his replacement though...

Jimboola69
But Paulo is unlikely to put in much duty at LB for us. Cole etc in his way.
Tim
Strikes me that Paulo is too nice for his own good at times.
gustyheadhunter
Strikes me that Paulo is too nice for his own good at times. i find it funny that it says he will be competing for the position with paulo and julliano when in fact from what ive seen of bosingwa there will be no competition what so ever. he is vastly superior
