  1. @amputechture, Tommy, mclovin83, teritus, dkw: I see the gang got offended. YCNMIU I bet you guys are really hurting today that Mikel was not in POTY nominations. It wasn't very long ago that you people were saying that "he is the second most important name on our team sheet after Mata". How dare Hazard sneak into the nominations before him?
  2. Well aren't you good at attributing false quotes to others.
  3. You were talking about 4 players and wrote negative points for all but one. Excuse me for assuming that you did not find any fault with that 4th player. and the reason this thread has degenerated is because you and your ilk will put blame on everybody else but never for a second accept that Mikel was at fault ever on the football field.
  4. The fantasy land that you live in is "Mikel has been good for Chelsea consistently." The fact of the matter is he has only "looked" good when we have defended with every single player behind the ball and not showing much desire to attack the opposition. I am not saying that strategy does not work but It won't win you many league titles (1 in 7 since he came to Chelsea?) Yes he "looked" good in CL finals and semis last year because we were set up to play in that particular way. Our entire team was camped in our half and he did not have to cover a large part of the ground.
  5. haha I know you like to live in fantasy world. Keep dreaming mate.
  6. and the same can be said of when 1. Mata was in on goal and a very lucky/brilliant touch on the ball by Pantillimion (sp) prevented us from going level 2. Ba's first touch effort on goal was brilliantly saved by Pantillimion (sp) 3. Torres should have won a valid penalty of Kompany
  7. FA Cup away vs Manchester United: Hazard and Mikel come on for Moses and Lampard and our game improves, we conclude that Mikel made all the difference and is one of the most important players in the team. FA Cup semi vs Manchester City: Mikel is replaced by Torres, and we immediately come back into the game ------ It's just a coincidence. I can wrap my head around that.
  8. Well If I dont drag it down, how do I reach your gutter level.
  9. Evidently it does. Why else would you and your gang keep abusing me since the day I posted first about Mikel being a poor player.
  10. says the gutter dwelling lowlife cretin
  11. Ofcourse when someone exposes you for the idiot you are, the only option left is to ignore that person.
  12. I am just going to provide some stats (whoscoredDOTcom, assuming they don't have any agenda to make Mikel look bad) Now some of these may not be exactly playing in the DM position but they are the closest their teams have to this position. (I am assuming by tackles + interceptions per game will be a good indicator of breaking up play instances) Michael Carrick: t+i per game 4.7 vs 3.8 per game for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 35 times in 29 games (1.1 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, has 1 goal, 4 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 29 goal scoring chances created in 29 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 75 passes per game at 88% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy Gareth Barry: t+i per game 3.5 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 16 times in 25 games (0.6 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 1 goal and 2 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 19 goal scoring chances created in 25 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 59.3 passes per game at 86.4% accuracy vs 55.4 for mikle at 89.2% accuracy Ramires: t+i per game 4.6 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 29 times in 29 games (1 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 4 goals and 1 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 15 goal scoring chances created in 29 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 37 passes per game at 85.5% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy Arteta: t+i per game 5.9 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 28 times in 28 games (1 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 6 goals and 2 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 23 goal scoring chances created in 28 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 84.9 passes per game at 92.4% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy Sandro: t+i per game 6.9 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 10 times in 22 games (0.45 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 1 goals and 2 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 23 goal scoring chances created in 22 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 42.3 passes per game at 85.7% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy Lucas: t+i per game 7.1 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 31 times in 19 games (1.4 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 0 goals and 1 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 10 goal scoring chances created in 19 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 56.9 passes per game at 87% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy Schneiderlin: t+i per game 8.1 vs 3.8 for Mikel, Players dribbled past him 33 times in 32 games (1 per game) vs 0.8 for Mikel, 5 goals and 0 assists vs 0 for Mikel, 28 goal scoring chances created in 32 games vs 7 in 20 for Mikel, completes 51.3 passes per game at 84.7% accuracy vs 55.4 for Mikel at 89.2% accuracy
  13. #rafaout even a fool could see that starting Mikel against Yaya Toure was the most useless decision ever.
  14. Is there anyone who did not see that colossal performance coming?
  15. So many likes on that post by Tommy. Looks like the whole of Nigeria got internet connectivity today
  16. What? Am I not allowed to praise a potential player of the year? See what I meant about him being almost as good as Messi. Yesterday, Messi came on and changed the course of the entire game and so did Sir John Obi Mikel today. Move aside Pele, John Obi Mikel is here.
  17. Epic performance today by the man. Our defense looked so much more composed once he was subbed in. He was winning tackles, intercepting balls all around the field. He completely changed the result of the game. I think this performance alone deserves player of the year award.
  18. You are WRONG. John Obi Mikel was the best player after Messi at a youth tournament in 2006 and right now he is marginally better than Messi. John Obi Mikel won the African Nations Cup and Messi can't even qualify for that cup. That should tell you about the quality of Mikel. He absolutely bossed Yaya Toure in a game in Africa. As people have posted here, we beat ManU to his signature and Sir Alex Ferguson still wants him. We should all feel very lucky to have him in our team. He is the next best thing to GOD. There should be match-long tributes and songs sung in the praise of this amazing footballer at every game he plays. People will tell you that Mata, Hazard etc have scored/assisted xyz goals but they can all do that because John Obi Mikel blesses the ball with his feet at the start of every move.
  19. Clutching at straws now. You have tried to show that 6 wins in 7 were not good for us. Admirable indeed. @Tommy Docherty: Read my post 100-150 times. You might understand. The chances are very low though.
  20. Good lord. You are really really reallllyyyyy slow.
  21. "If Mikel isn't playing and we play crap you say nothing, but if Mikel is playing and we play crap in your opinion it's always Mikel's fault" I understand it looks like that but trust me that is not true. i joined this forum in mid-february. Our games since then have been the following: Wigan at home in PL (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) Sparta Prague away in Europa (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) Brantford at home in FA Cup (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) Sparta Prague at home in Europa (we drew and Mikel started the game) ManCity away in PL (we lost and Mikel started the game) M'boro away in FA Cup (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) West Brom at home in PL (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) Bucharest away in Europa (we lost and Mikel started the game) ManU away in FA Cup (we drew and Mikel came on as 2nd half sub) Bucharest at home in Europa (we won and Mikel started the game) West Ham at home in PL (we won and Mikel was not a part of the team) Southamton away in PL (we lost and Mikel started the game) ManU at home in FA Cup (we won and Mikel started the game) So in this period, Mikel has not started 7 games and we have won 6 and drawn 1 of those 7. He has started 6 games and we have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 3 games. There hasn't really been a game in this period (since I have been a member here) when Mikel has not started and the performance/result has been poor.
  22. There is a minimum intelligence level below which I don't respond. Your comments in that article were laughable and It would have been an exercise in futility for me trying to explain them to you.
  23. One can only but laugh at your knowledge of the game. But surprisingly that is not the weakest point, ability to read and comprehend is even poorer.
