You can write all that you want but the bottom line is Mikel is not a player that should be playing at a top level club. As shown in AFCON, his level is playing African competition and he should stick to that. The turd should settle at its own level. Last 8 PL games Mikel has started for chelsea, 1 win, 3 draws and 4 losses. Relegation material. I bet even QPR wont bid for him ( bear in mind thats a club that took Jose Bosingwa).

What were people smoking while watching the game? One guy is saying commentators shut up about Michael Carrick once Mikel stepped in. They dont even operate in the same area of the pitch. Mikel plays closer to their AM and Carrick in the operating area of our AMs. And its not like we were not dominating chances before the change was made. ManU just had two chances in the game and they took them. Both were not due to Lampard or Ramires' mistake but failure of our defenders/keeper. 15 minutes onward we were all over United and only some baffling decisions/shooting from Moses and Ba ensured we were still 2 down at HT. Our efficiency in the final third improved because of Hazard coming on for Moses. That change in quality is what got us the draw.

definitely better than the arguments presented in that article you shared. He is being compared to people like Sandro, Lucas, Tiote, Parker who are mainly ball winners. Sandro average 6+ tackles + interceptions per game. So does Lucas Leiva. Tiote 5.3, while Mikel averages 3.9 Players like Song and Carrick contribute to their teams' attacks. Song had 11 assists in the PL last season, Carrick has 4 assists this season and averages 1 key pass per game. Mikel has 0 goal and 0 assists in the last two season. He has made only 6 key passes so far this season.
