That is such a typical response. Somebody is questioning Mikel's abilities, quick shower him with abuses and deflect any questions he asks about Mikel's performances and contribution to the team.

I never said that he was solely responsible. When he starts, he starts with 10 other players. When he doesn't, his replacement starts with 10 other players. I am only pointing out the stark difference between the performances of unit when he is a part of it to those of the unit when he is not.

You cannot make it up. Chelsea win two games on a trot and then Mikel returns to the side and we lose again. Anyways, some stats for the season Mikel in the starting lineup Games played: 25 Games won: 10 Games drawn: 6 Games lost: 9 Goals scored: 41 Goals conceded: 40 Goals scored per game: 1.64 Goals conceded per game: 1.60 Out of these 10 wins, we were trailing Reading 2-1 when he was subbed off, we were trailing Manchester United in CoCup when he was subbed off and we were drawing with Stoke when he was subbed off. So basically just 7 wins out of 25 in games where Mikel started.
