  1. Get a solid deep lying CM in and that would be a good start.
  2. I know one should not expect people who think Mikel is a god awesome player to be factually correct but still. Terry: a season marred with injuries and has been found limping in the games he has played vs Mikel. once again: Last 8 PL games that John Obi MIkel has started, Chelsea have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 4. A grand total of 6 points ladies and gentlemen.
  3. his last 8 PL starts, 1 win 3 draws and 4 defeats. I would say we are much more likely to lose the next 4 with him than without him. Its called taking a guess based on historical data.
  4. One more interesting stat: in the last 8 PL games that John Obi Mikel has started, Chelsea have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 4, collecting a grand total of 6 points in the process.
  5. points per game with Mikel: 1.75 points per game without Mikel: 2 If one were to project that to entire season (38 games) Total points with Mikel: 66 Total points without Mikel: 76 Calling me names is not going to make John Obi Mikel a top level football player. A middle tier club level player is the maximum he will ever be.
  6. Chelsea with Mikel in PL: 28 points in 16 games Chelsea without Mikel in PL: 24 points in 12 games Time to separate the average players from quality players and let the team move forward in the right direction, rather than letting liabilities like John Obi Mikel continuously drag us down.
  7. and you dont have to make muptiple accounts by the name of ampu..whatever, dkw, eric, normal9ja to defend Mikel. The farther away that guy is from our starting XI, the better for the club.
  8. Well a good solid performance today. No surprises that happened with Mikel on the bench.
  9. He may end up being successful at some other team or some other position but player of the year? That is a stretch. Also, if he is a better player further up the pitch then he should be asking for a move because there is no way he is starting further forward ahead of Mata, Oscar or Hazard.
  10. Yeah, can't add anything meaningful to the discussion, so you start abusing. Typical The uselessness of your posts is only matched by the uselessness of the game of the player you are defending. One more example of useless defense of a useless player. I pity you and this gang of people whose only purpose is to like the posts that defend Mikel. SAD
  11. :) I think your time will be better spent trying to develop some reading comprehension skills than defending your Messiah over here.
  12. Why jump in with a quote like that? Follow the entire conversation and then talk.
  13. Yes we really missed the defensive prowess of John Obi Mikel in the UEFA super cup when we conceded 4 goals to Athletico, or when we conceded 3 to Juventus.... oh wait.... never mind
  14. Just to clarify, I wont use how much Mikel is/is not valued by Chelsea's coaches as a stick to praise/beat him. That post was just for those people who think he has been preferred by famed managers.
  15. OK. Lets talk about Mikel being the first choice of world renowned managers at Chelsea. Jose Mourinho's first choice was always Makelele. Avram Grant's first choice DM was also Makelele. After Makelele left, we were left with two DMs, Mikel and an out of position Essien. Then came Scolari who started by having Essien out of position in DM's role. Essien had that horrific injury so Scolari had to do with Mikel. After Scolari was fired, Guus Hiddink came in and he started Ballack in the DM in big games. Otherwise, his first choice starting midfield used to be Lampard, Ballack and Essien. Carlo Ancelotti played Deco, Ballack and Mikel at DM and prefered to bench Mikel for the bigger games (second leg vs ManU in Champions league). AVB dropped him for a long time for Romeu (a raw kid). That should tell you how much AVB rated Mikel. RDM was probably the only one under whom Mikel was the first choice but that was because of Mikel suited the kind of football that Chelsea were playing towards the end of season last year.
  16. Well I can say the same thing about you. Seriously, How deluded one has to be to think that there is a player in there in John Obi Mikel? But your language speaks a lot about you. Cannot come up with a logical, rationale defense of 'best player at a youth tournament in 2006 after messi', so start abusing the other person.
  17. Well there aint an individual or a team stat in the world of football that can make John Obi 'second best player at a youth tournament in 2006 after Messi' Mikel look good. @ Normal9ja : Easy there with the abuse.
  18. FSW is definitely on the outer now but the big quesiton is: Will a good enough manager like to join us now?
  19. Excuse me if I dont rate talent that is coming out of the footballing giant that is 9ja.
  20. Ake had a good game last night. Nice to be playing with 11 men for a change. Lets hope, John Obi 'second best player after Messi at a youth tournament in 2006) Mikel stays as far away from the team as possible now. Well, Hello Mr. Piers Morgan
  21. Ouch, Sorry you cant handle people disagreeing with you. One advise, dont set foot outside in the real world, it wont be a nice place for someone like you.
  22. Once again you show your intellect level. Comparing individual milestones with those of teams. You will go far with this strong reasoning, logic and clarity of thought.
  23. No, but Tim Howard has more PL goals than John Obi 'second best player at a youth tournament after messi in 2006' Mikel
  24. A wise person tries to spread his wisdom, thats what I am doing. Hope you guys see the light :). No more replies from my side unless a new point is brought up till the next time mikel starts a game. He will give plenty to talk about within 5 minutes of walking on the field. Useless player.
  25. Right now, I see him as the biggest negative in this chelsea side. The transition of the ball from defense to attack is slow and laborious and it is affecting our results. A sensible person would see the connection.
