What about Dean Ashton? Now before you all go crazy with the reason why not, I say - why not? He is proven in the Premiership (okay, maybe he could improve, but that comes with experience), young (so we won't have to replace him in a few years, unless he turns out like Kezman), has the same hairline as Robben so they could bond, two footed, good in the air (I think he is anyway) and it would be another notch in 'West Ham are our feeder club' belt. Why spend ?20m> on a striker who doesn't have Premiership experience? Of course, we'd probably have to pay a lot for Ashton because he is English (SWP, Carrick and Rooney are examples there, and probably (although hopefully not) Ashley Cole) - so many the price comparisons may not be that big. Thoughts?
