Hazard was inmense,but don't forget that Courtois made 2 amazing saves in the first half. Without them wouldn't have won. Courtois has been the man of the tie.

In the first half team's performance was sloppy. They had no intensity which led to several Newcastle's chances aborted by Cech, who was inmense. And at the end Willian became the most clever guy on the pitch. Newcastle didn't deserve losing at HT. Things changed completely in the second half. The team effort was outstanding with an special mention to Costa. I'm also happy for Zouma. Great performance. Has he stolen Cahill's spot? I'm not sure but it's good to know we have 3 excellent CB's. City drop points. Toure's absence is already hurting them. If he's still in Africa for Chelsea game, Chelsea could massacre them. His absence is even more important against a team like Chelsea, so powerfull up front.

Even though Cech made a couple of great saves in the first half, I must pick Costa. He scored a brilliant goal & almost another one & his effort in the second half was inmense.

I feel embarrased deep inside. Playing the best football till today, and City not at their best, and we're tied. Hopefully Jose will make clinical changes.

Lampard again scoring for City. And this time the winning goal. This is such a bad joke. I think that Jose now regrets to not have kept him one more year.

I have a feeling that this will be a tough game but not as physical as the Soton one. And I don't see the Spuds parking the bus like Soton did. I think Ivan needs a rest. He seemed rusty yesterday. If we manage to get a win this Christmas marathon would be succesfull.

MOTM was obviously Hazard. He scored such an amazing goal.

Southampton recent form is far from good. And as pointed before they have struggled against top teams. On the other side, Chelsea's form is pretty good so we should prevail.

My vote is for Costa. He scored a wonderful goal, gave an assist for the other & was a constant nightmare for defenders with his relentless movement. And don't forget his defensive work-rate. Hazard was a close one. And what else can be said about Matic? The guy is such an incredible player. He's everywhere. Like an octopus. He reminds me a lot of Fernando Redondo, the great argentinian who played years ago in Real Madrid. It's not a surprise that the only loss this year came when Matic was suspended.
