Top 10 Goals In Chelsea History
If I came home from work early, and found good old Gianfranco Zola in bed with my wife, Id probably go downstairs and make him a nice cup of tea

Chopper Harris on Diego Costa - Bleacher interview
Ps- they were in Copenhagen in no official capacity with the club. They were there as Chelsea fans

Chopper Harris on Diego Costa - Bleacher interview
I like the story about when a young Ron Harris, at the beginning of his career, marked Stanley Matthews who was at the very end of his playing days- there was a bit of an unwritten rule that you didn't go in too strong on old Stan, who was fifty odd, and often put ten 10,000 on the gate. Anyway, Chopper kicked lumps out of him during the first half. At half time, he was pulled to one side by a senior pro- might have been Peter Sillet, who pointed out to young Ronnie that the great Matthews was limping as a result of of the rough treatment doled out. IM NOT HAVING THAT- replied chopper- THAT LIMP AINT DOWN TO ME. THAT'S HIS ARTHRITUS! Met him an Ossie in Copenhagen for the Champions League in 98 in a bar. Gentleman, the pair of them

I heard that rumour too. There were similar rumours about the aptly named Kevin Hitchcock

Famous known Chelsea Supporters that we should know about?
I once sat next to a famous Eskimo back at the Bridge once- dont remember his name but he was big news back home in Greenland. There used to be mob of Papia New Guineans too. Bones through the nose the lot. Then there was that Bangladeshi.bloke who was a weatherman o. Anglian TV. Is that enough info for you?

What a load of bollox. Anyone would think the bloke had his head caved in with a baseball bat. Just let it blow over, which in time it will

Modern football- things that get up your nose
Not too long ago racism ie racist chanting at football was a hundred times more prevalent and received practically no media attention. Many of the same sports journalists that are so offended now, were around back then and never had a dicky bird to say about it. My point is, when did they, if at all, develop their touchy freely scruples? Maybe they haven't changed at all but have jumped on the faux outrage bandwagon because everyone else seems to be going that way. The way the football is going- mass hysteria at comparity trivial events- the complete capitulation to the PC lobby- pretty soon the only chant your be able to use is COME ON YOU BLUES. No mocking of opposition supporters or players in any way, otherwise someone's feelings might get hurt....delicate little lambs

Grounds where you've had to get on your toes
I've searched the net for a list of tournament winners over the years- know we won it once late 70s- cant find a thing. It was big news in its day. Like a lot of kids we caught the Harlem Globetrotters there too. Curly Neal was a big hero. Seems funny now there's rakes of bald heads around, but back then there were old 3 bald headed blokes in the world- youngish blokes not your grandad types- Telly Savalas, Curly Neal and Yul Brynner

Grounds where you've had to get on your toes
I've been run at a few places watching Chelsea, but the first time was at Wembley Arena ( The Empire Pool ) as it was watching the Daily Express 5- asides. It was mostly school kids that watched this annual event- I was there with the school circa 78- and we got run out of our seats by Tottenham, who were a fair bit older than us. We had a good go back later mind. Next day at school there were a couple of shiners on display, including one on our sports teacher who got caught up in melee.

Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?
There used to be a rumour that a centre half with the initials EY was an active homosexual. Wonder whether he did it with his trademark headband on?

Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?
Mate of mine used to play for a well known northern club. They went on a tour of the Far East, taking in a brothel on the itinerary. The first one to disappear into a room was the manager- Dont be shy lads, it's all on the chairman. You probably wouldn't have heard of my mate, who was a journeyman pro, but you would have heard of the manager.

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
In the pre Bates era, in the programmes they used to announce supporters club branches that were sprouting up across the country. Seem to remember there being one in Harrogate, Yorkshire. No glory hunters back then either

Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?
It was probably about 6 years ago I witnessed it. Not sure whether it still occurs these days. Still if they're determined enough they'll find a way in. If you see anyone looking slightly suspect with an extension ladder, Id take a wild guess as to their intentions

West Brompton Cemetarys a well known gay hangout after dark. During night games, from the window at the very top of the East Stand you can sometimes see them fornicating on top of the tombstones.....Nice...

There was a crush getting through the Bovril Gate that day as well. What's the consensus on Borota? Remember him as OK but couldn't kick the ball very far. Until Niedweki we had a few keepers who lacked a decent hoof, and when Eddie came on board we scored countless goals with a big hoof, Speedie flick on for Dixon to use his pace and stick it past the keeper. Back to Borota, seem to remember at the time we were linked with a Yugoslavs manager, who didn't make it over, but recommended PB to us?

Wonder what Micky Droys sister looked like?

Apologies for poor context- was replying to someone talking about John Neals Blue and White Army. That's what happens when your trying to type and make a Spanish Omellette at the same time!

Great days indeed. First game back in Div 1- 20,000 CFC at Highbury. One of the biggest away supports seen anywhere for a league game

My mum had a pram like that. You could collapse it. Used to take up half the bleeding hallway

Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?
Maybe we could get the United Nations involved to sort out all this forum feuding. Anyone got Kofi Annans number. Course in the old days when a gentlemans honour was offended they'd sort it out with a duel. Maybe some of the posters settle things with the old pistols at dawn on Parsons Green. Either that or a boxing ring in the Goose. Now that would be funny

Is There a Media Campaign Against Chelsea?
This is all a bit exhausting. Someone rattles off a couple of hundred words of conjecture- someone else disagrees and fires back with amother 300 word volley- threats to take it outside- there's too many people disappearing up there own backsides for my liking. I thought all this forum malarky was supposed to be fun?

Which Chelsea do you consider your Chelsea?
Like a lot of people I loved the Dixon, Speedie, Nevin years, but also cherish the memories of 96 to about 2005 when we started winning things, and just before SB became an out an out tourist destination. Fantastic, epic pissups followed the cup in 97- ended up a house party with a load of posh birds by Sloane Square- the Cup Winners Cup in Stockholm, and the Premiership in 2005- I was the mug knocking out replica Premiership drinking trophys to pubs around the ground; made a nice few bob out of it till the premiership/ CFC threatened me with copyright infringement. After the Bolton game didn't go to bed for a couple of nights. Then bit by bit it didn't seem like the Chelsea Id fallen in love with. Saw us win the double against Pompey at Wembley at the celebration- pissup, was a tad lukewarm IMO.
