  1. Man can't hold up the ball some say... Can't play as the focal point some say... amazing what a bit of confidence coming from 270 minutes of football can do...
  2. I felt so sorry for him as he left the pitch. The look he gave the away fans, fearful and sheepish. He just seems out of his depth at the moment. I honestly think he will come good, I hope he does anyway
  3. His work rate and desire, not to mention his wonder strike, towards the end of the game were exemplary. I think its a case of when, not if, when it comes to him leaving. My selfish opinion would be to keep him and let him run his contract down. I believe there is enough of London in his heart that he would do that. Will be a sad, sad day when it comes. And I thought losing Mata was painful.
  4. Timmy B is actually a good footballer who's drastically short on confidence / not up to speed with the Premier league. Has everyone forgotten his performance against Spurs at the start of the season?
  5. Our defence was as strong as tissue paper last night. How Cahill starts over Rudiger I don't know. Baka was very poor but didn't deserve either yellow and the penalty is as soft as you will get. It's very clear there is a leadership void within the squad. And the uncertainty over the managers position does not help. Don't think zappa deserves any criticism other than tracking janmaat for his goal, at least he showed some desire unlike many of the others last night. I really thought Hazard had rescued us with his sheer brilliance only for the defence to let everyone down. And don't even get me started on Luiz playing several balls in behind with Giroud up front...
  6. Personally, I would love Conte to stay. But I think we all know, he doesn't really want to. I shall be gutted when he goes because I believed he could be the man to bring a stability to the club and develop a unique identity for Chelsea. He's not perfect for sure; he fails to deviate from three at the back even in the most dire of situations (Bournemouth aside) and his judgement of players is questionable. But he won us the title last year with Victor Moses at RWB. Come on, he deserves some respect for that. I would definitely say he is overachieving with the squad he has available to him. The Barcelona ties will be make or break for him; if he can pull off an RDM and get us to the semi's or even final then the board may be tempted to put more faith in him.
