Chelsea v Fulham (PL) Fri 3rd Feb 2023 20:00 GMT
I have a season ticket at both Chelsea (since 1976) and Brighton. I only go to Brighton if it doesn't clash with a Chelsea home game. Potter didn't take Brighton to a very very good style. He took them from Hughton's very cautious defensive football to a more possession based approach. However, there was rarely any speed in the passing or good movement off the ball which Brighton fans are seeing now with Robeeto de Zerbi. Potter's possession football is what we saw a lot of tonight. The ball is knocked about in defence, played to a wide man, returned if there is no easy pass on, before somebody gets fed up and lumps it forward. Brighton are now encouraged to take players on in attacking situations and are not afraid to have a shot at goal. The improvement of players there eg. March and the fact that players are given a chance eg. Mitoma has been notable since Potter left. Potter has a ready made excuse at Chelsea because of all the new players and, admittedly, injuries. If he's still here in a year's time I wonder what the explanation will be when we're still watching the same tedious football.

Fulham v Chelsea (PL) Thur 12th Jan 2023 20:00 GMT
I may have said it before. I saw my first game at Chelsea in 1957, I have had a a season ticket since 1976. My wife is a Brighton fan. I was lucky enough to be able to afford a season ticket there as well,. We bought them the year after the Amex opened. Chelsea always (!) took precedence when the fixtures clashed. I have set the scene in what I want to say. Chris Hughton got them in the PL but was sacked because of his essentially defensive approach. Graham Potter comes in and, for two seasons, it's all about playing out from the back. The shooting on goal at times was pathetic. It was last season I think when there were 6 games without a win. His response was this irritating, calm, 'well reasoned' good sense. It has only been this season when there was an improvement in their play - don't forget McAllister plays for them. And Roberto de Zerbi has improved them again. He definitely can impove players but, seriously, do we really want to allow him two years to get this team to function at the level they should be at? For me, no!

Who? Alright I know we've signed him but will he do any better if Potter is the manager?

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Boehly keeps signing players, most of whom most of us are unaware of. Accepting what we have become, wouldn't it have been better to have gradually integrated our young players instead of which we are signing players the majority of which will add to the deadwood in our squad. Which of the crazy priced players signed in the close season cannot be considered deadwood?

RIP Legend Gianluca Vialli
A true Chelsea legend. RIP Luca. Very disappointed with the official club website where it's hard to find any mention of his passing. It typifies Chelsea's attitude since the takeover.

As I said, Potter has an obsession about playing it out from the back. Kepa is reasonably OK at that. Mendy isn't. Will Potter adapt depending on who's in goal? Will he f**k!

I have had a Chelsea season ticket since 1976. My wife persuaded me (in wealthier times!) to get one at Brighton. If there was a clash, I was always at SB. Houghton was good until they got promoted. In the PL, it was defensive crap before he was sacked. Potter came in and insisted on playing it out from the back whatever the risks. Mostly it worked, often it didn't. It was two years of turgid football until the football improved in his third season and they had a good start this season with him. Do we really want to wait two years for things to improve? Not me!

Hopefully we won't.

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
Potter has generally been excellent in setting up our teams in the CL but, in the PL, it's a joke playing with 2 wing backs and expecting the energy of Kovacic to compensate for the other midfield player's deficiency. It you're going to play with 3 at the back and(!) wing backs, you have to play 3-5-2.

The only one that I can think of is Lewis Dunk (Brighton), a Chelsea fan who reverred JT. We should have signed him 2 or 3 years ago.- Chelsea v Leicester (PL) Tues 18th May 2021 20:15 GMT
Interesting to see Guardiola losing it at the end of the BHA game when the result didn't go his way and having a go at arguably the most dignified manager in the PL who has to endure multiple setbacks. Typical of the man and it's about time the media stopped fawning over him.- Chelsea V Leicester FA Cup Final 15/5/21
It's about time there was an independent enquiry about these referees in the Premier League. Just check it out and see where they come from. Northern Man U fan Mike Riley is responsible for appointing them. There are none from London or the South. The number of times that 'referees' like that bent asshole Taylor referees a Man U game is a joke. Check the number of them from the Manchester area. It's on Wikipedia. Mourinho was right regarding referees and Chelsea. There was definitely an agenda against us today both by the officials and certainly the BBC who were desperate to win it for Lineker. The commentator was virtually cheering when our goal was chalked off. Also, in about 30 close ups of the fans during the game, about 6 were of Chelsea fans. We played crap but......- Chelsea Vs Burnley (PL) Sat 12 Aug 2017 KO 15:00 GMT
Possible memo from the EPL/Sky: Congratulations agent Pawson. Another fine performance from our elite northern referees especially you two from Yorkshire. Having said that, we will have to keep a watch on Bobby's fatness (sorry fitness!) although we were pleased to see him do his duty with respect to Pedro last week. We will continue our policy of having no southern referees for the forseeable future and promise to keep an eye on those Wiltshire pair in case of any problems regarding our favoured northern teams. Keep up the good work! - Aston Villa v Chelsea (PL) Sun 23rd May 2021 16:00 GMT
