Hopefully, Everton will be able to challenge again by playing expansive football, but it won't come over night, pragmatism has to be observed. Most of the time the status quo is observed and the Sky six prevail over the lesser teams. However, as you found out recently with West Ham, it's not always the case. I think Everton have reverted to a 90's "dogs of war" style of football, say all you want about Allardyce, but he has got Everton to believe in themselves and hard to beat. I don't think the likes of DCL, Lookman, Kenny, Holgate and Davies, will enjoy playing backs to the wall football though. Plus we have Connolly and Dowell to return from on loan spells. I think we'll be well shot of Barkely the sh*tbag, in January to Spurs. Allardyce has got too good a squad to continue playing the type of football he is known for. The hardest thing EFC have to do is to keep hold of the players.
