Even since his Napoli days I have seen him as a modern day Pirlo. Of course he is not quite at that same level et, but he sure as hell can be very soon!

People forgetting how quality Kovacic has been.  Understandable that Barkley has moved ahead of him, but it’s clear that Sarri still has reservations about RLC’s tactical play.
Also, the only reason RLC was in the match today was because he was our only player on the bench that can play on the wing, when Pedro had to come off.

Barkley is giving us the end product. That is what we need from him. He is not a midfield controlling or holding player. He is the one who scores and apparently gives great weighted passes. 

I was thinking the same thing, but then you have people in the media like Glenn Hoddle wanting to see both RLC & Barkley playing side by side for the The Good of England, this might be the writing on the wall for Kovacic - IMHO Kovacic has played very well in the Chelsea kit - makes good plays on both sides of the halfway line - his only issue is he doesn't score goals, which personally I don't mind because he is a midfielder - you only get midfielders that score like Frank Lampard once in a lifetime

Yes that is true and add Kovacic into the mix yet when we need goals I see Barkley coming on and I think RLC can be in the front three on the right when we are short up front.

Exactly, the current form they are in is amazing for both, but now we just have to see how they play with each other with one of Kante/Jorginho is unavailable. Only then will be truly be able to see how good they are

I thought the same when it occurred, will this give RLC the EPL opportunity? 
It did today and he performed well and scored.
It opens up a cracking possibility it if matures, Barkley and RLC playing together for club and country and both will be able to offer goals.

Hopefully we go in for him, he’ll be an amazing CF
