  1. Mentioned Morano as a possible striker and having watched him all season he would be a great addition. Money doesn't always buy goals.
  2. With regard to coaching does anyone think Lampard may have done better with a different no 2. Someone with experience coaching in the premiership?
  3. We come back to a risk/reward situation then as with Kane , is Sancho worth risking 100m on as he is unproven in Premiership made limited appearances in High stakes games? I think we a forget that all clubs have coaching staff who aren't there to just keep players fit or install players into systems. They are there to improve players we have and take them to the next level. TT Has installed the system it is up to his staff to train the players to play football. It always baffles me that all clubs invest time and money on players from 7 or 8 years old. Those that they deem to have good potential then progress to the u18 ,u21 & u23. Presumably these players are then coached the 1st team system , taught how to use both feet and generally improve as footballers. Surely with the ammount of players we have on the books we have players coming through that would be fine in the first team, if not its either poor decisions at 16/17 in keeping them or poor coaching. If a player gets to 18/19 having joined at 8 and isn't good enough to slot into the first team then something is failing along the way.
  4. Sancho is more of the same for me, his best position is AMR. Would he fit in to TT system and if so if we bought him who would we be offload. For me Gnabry is a better and has played only 19 games due to a muscle injury in February but still managed a goal more than Sancho recording the same ammount of assists in half the games. He is 25 years old and has more experienced playing for Bayern in CL and for Germany. Sancho hasn't exactly nailed down an England spot despite the hype.
  5. As far as I am aware Silva has signed a one year deal for next season. Tomori back from Milan would be interesting and Marc Guehi back from loan at Swansea we would have the personel to change to back 4 if needed. Guechi has played 41 games for Swansea this season and has been consistent. Rudiger is solid , Silva protected in the back 3 but would struggle in back 4 I think.
  6. True but what wil they be saying if our 150m signing Kane is on the treatment table for most of the season? All signings are a risk so why buy 1 player for 150m against 4 or 5 signings with the possibility of unearthing a diamond. Whos saw how good Drogba was going to be when we first signed him. In fact he was like Bambi the first season then took off after that.
  7. I think Id be happy to let City/United take the risk on him. Pep has plenty of armoury and is happy to play without a No 9 so for City it would be more to prevent Kane moving to Utd than needing or wanting him. For Ollie and United it would be a chance for the Glazers to pacify the fans and Ollie to begin what he hopes to be a dynasty. Unfortunatley a tap on the ankle could see all with red faces.
  8. With Tammy Abraham and Giroud looking likely to be shown the door and rumours around Pulisic we could do worse to look at Andre Silva 25 as mentioned previously. Dusan Vlashovic at Fiorientina is 21 years old and having a great season at Fiorientina and is Highly rated. Simy has also been in form in serie A with Crotone which is an achievment considering the position Crotone are in. He's 28 Years Old but big and strong and can deal with the rigors of Premiership football. Gerard Moreno is a realistic possibility and would possibly relish joining the Blues . At 29 years Old he is having the season of his life with 23 goals in 32 appearances for Villerreal this season. The Spanish Club would inflate his price as would most selling to Chelsea but even at an inflated price you could pick up the 4 mentioned for 200 Million , return 30 to 40m on Tammy and a couple of sheep for Giroud. If Pulisic goes, who I am on the fence about by the way, along with Jorgiho.Edison and Barkley, who are liabilities or surplus to requirements, we would recoup most if not all of the 200m. Loftus Cheek and Hudson Odoi were both touted as the next best thing and to be fair were living up to thr hype until they suffered similar injuries around about a similar time. Unfortunately I dont see either reaching the heights and will level out as bit part players at Chelsea and it would be prudent to cash in now before they fade into Premiership mediocrity. I like Gallagher who is currently on loan at WBA and due back into the Chelsea fold in the next couple of weeks. He has plenty of energy and gets stuck in. Not going to be winning any awards for goals or assists but has the ability to get around the pitch and disrupt opponents. It wont hurt to have him back at Chelsea training alongside the best player in that position (Kante) and get his head down. Bringing players in such as those above who are in form and not playing for teams in form shows resilience. It also protects us from Signing a single forward like Kane for 150m who then gets crocked at the Euros and spends next season on the treatment table. Not a fan of the eggs in one basket philosophy. Alonso is a bit Marmite for Chelsea fans and although I feel he is useful to have as a sub in order to rest Chilwell I would like to see more back up for both WB positions. Dave is a big part of Chelseas set up but not getting any younger. Not Sure W/B is going to be a position TT will play him next season and that leaves James. So replacing of CHO and Alonso is a possibility. Finally just a quick point on Chilwell. Im presumimg he has a Right foot as just standing would be a problem. The last person I saw go round in circles rather than kick it with his preferred foot was a certain 100 England Capper Ashley Cole. If the replacing of CHO and Alonso does happen is it to much to ask for a W/B or F/B to be at least comfortable with both feet. It still amazes me that players can get to this level and not be able kick with both feet.
  9. ANDRE SILVA - The 25-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt forward has already hit a career-best tally of 27 league goals so far this season, which has been crucial in firing the club to fifth place in the Bundesliga. Silva has been in particularly phenomenal form of late, with 18 goals in 19 Bundesliga appearances in 2021. He is the star at the top of Adi Hutter’s Christmas tree formation and has broken Eintracht’s single-season scoring record.
  10. Contrary to almost everyone I think 'Glass Ankle' Kane is overrated and as such going to be Vastly Overpriced. I think our issue is more Jorginho and his lack of creation. Kante is also not getting any younger so why not bring back Gallagher from West Brom and alongside Billy Gilbert they can spend a couple of seasons learning from Kante/ Kovacic. Marc Guehi has had a good season on loan and similarly a season or two training alongside Silva and co he would improve and get valuable experience of the Chelsea way. What has gone on with Abraham and TT we don't know but not many managers would have perserveered with Werner as TT has. With Giroud possibly exiting Aguero would be a great addition bringing Premiership experience and still a formidable Striker. Again he could be a great help in bringing on the likes of Werner & Co. I think the board will be reluctant to spend given TT only has a one season contract especially if we win the CL with the squad we have.
  11. So The Bliues are on an awful run! Following a decnt run where to be honest we never look fluid and had the rub of the green in a few of those matches. My question is Can we lay all of our current woes at Lampards door. When I look around most managers have an experienced backroom staff, I wonder if Frank would benfit from a more experienced no2. I know Jodie Morris has had a lot of experience with youth squads but working with the academy at Chelsea where the quality of the Youngsters is far higher than most other academies would makethe job of Youth or Academy coach easier than say at Derby. If you look around the Premiership most teams doing well ,Top Half , have legends of the club in senior coaching roles or someone the manager has won things with. Man Uniturd - OGS/Carrick/Phelan Man sh*tty - PEP/Torrent/Plancha Liverpool- Klopp/Lijinders/Kraweitz All of these coaches have either been together for over 5years or coached extensively and succesfully for over a decade. I think for Frank to be succesful and enjoy success at Chelsea he needs more experience alongside him. Keep Jodie there but bring more experience in. I would also like to see JT back in camp. Villas improvement has been no fluke and with Terrys loyalty he would expect nothing less from the players in the dressing room.
  12. That's as maybe but wisdom would suggest that Frank have some experience alongside him. Maybe because he has an Uncle and Father with vast experience behind them he felt that was enough. However he seems a bit lost when it comes to tactics and slow to react to in game issues. Giroud should never have been on the bench tonight. Especially if your tactics are to pump hopeful crosses into the box. Havertz shouldn't have been on the coach with Werner on the bench.
  13. Another problem with the Lampards Appointment is the lack of experience alongside him. He is surrounded by personnel with similarly little experience in coaching or management. If you take United and Ollie at least he has Mike Phelan's experience to hand to fall back on. If they were to show Frank the door who is the favoured replacement. Poch or will we be waiting for Mourinhos inevitable sacking early next season.
  14. Lampards strength as a player was his goalscoring. A high % of shots from the edge of the box. He has as a manager decided to employ a tactic of do not shoot from outside the box. Instead he favours dilly dallying passing the ball to death letting the opposition get set defensively before having the full backs launch crosses into the box hoping Tammy will get onto it. When our attacks inevitably fail our Midfield is all on the edge of the box waiting for a ball so they can pass it out wide for yet another pointless cross. So we then are our of position for the counter. I never thought I'd say it but even Sarriball had some resemblance of a plan. Something that is lacking under Frank's management. He is beginning to show his lack of experience and we are subsequently being punished.
  15. Zidane wouldnt have anyone to blame other than himself if he gets the control ! Get the next one in if he fails! Its worked for 15 years changing manager every couple of seasons. Or would you rather be Arsenal and not win the league for over a decade by sticking with the manager sentimentally. Roman needs to take back control of the boardroom and get back to what obviously works.
  16. The issues started with Abramovich and his Visa. If you think about it rumours began beginning of Contes last season and the Jan 2018 transfer window was when conte began spitting his dummy. It appears as some have said that Romans reigns have slackened and whoever is vetoing the transfer policy has made a pigs ear of it. Conte lost the plot last season and we finished 10th and I wont be surprised if we need to qualify for Europe through a cup rather then league position as we did last season. Wolves can catch us on their current form and I cant see us winning a cup on current form. Abramovich has to take control again and get the board in order and go again preferably with Zidane and maybe JT number 2 or at least involved. Clear out Gorginho , Willian ,Hazard ( bear in mind hes playing for his Real Madrid shirt next season) and give Zidane control of signings and rebuild.
  17. I am sick of the managers using transfers as an excuse. Blaming someone else signing them. Dont take the job if you want to handle transfers. Sarri in fairness hasnt used that excuse YET but there is so much he is doing wrong that Chelsea need to change.
  18. Give him it as no other manager worth their salt is going to take the job. Each successful Chelsea manager has been given the money, but he would need to control the transfers.
  19. If you analise the first 15 ,16 or so games we were lucky. Unfortunately Sarris luck has run out and the chasms are now evident for all to see.
  20. Zidane NOW! If the players f**k up he will head but them!! Terry as Number 2! Zola is a legendary player but mediocre as a coach or manager, sorry to say hes out of his depth as is Sarri!
  21. Fear for us against Malmo at this rate never mind City!
  22. Never replaced the main main at the back JT and have got progressively poor at defending and if you cant defend !!!
  23. Speed is imperative nowadays and he left Willian on the bench. Now he's taken the only other pace off ???
