  1. That team has done nothing to boost my confidence in tonight’s game.
  2. What did he do? He was a little annoying, but we can all be that!
  3. No finishing 2nd was outstanding given the hand he was dealt, making a chase for the title showed what a quality manager we had! That we swapped for AVB of all people!
  4. Before we laugh at Arsenal, let’s see where we finish.
  5. Qualifying for the Champions League, is not success, that is such an Arsenal/Spurs attitude! As I said, I’m not a scouser, I don’t bang on about history.
  6. We’ve repeated on a title once, that’s what’s meant by sustained success, when you win you build, Roman doesn’t do that. We won a double with Ancelotti and promptly weakened our squad. I would wager that you’re very much in the minority if you don’t think that given proper support Ancelotti would have brought us more success. Oh and we used to be the most successful club, we’re not anymore, and not being a Scouser, I don’t bang on about history, it’s all about now & the future!
  7. You seem to have latched onto my comments about Ancelotti, let me clarify it for you, if he had stayed with ‘US’ in 2011, I believe we would definitely have won more titles. What he has done since leaving us, is completely irrelevant! Based on the sh*t hand he was dealt by Roman after winning the double (our 1 and only) he still managed to finish second in 10/11 which was astounding all things considered! Like so many managers with us if he had been allowed to build on his initial success we definitely would have won more, unfortunately we have an owner that doesn’t understand sustained success!
  8. I agree with the Womble, until he wins the big one, he can’t be classed as at the top table. Winning Ligue 1 is the minimum requirement at PSG. I’m not saying every coach that has won it is elite, but look at those classed in the top tier, they’ve won multiple trophies & Big Ears. I also agree, for us to attract top table managers again, Roman & the board are going to have to realise that winning the title doesn’t mean you’ve cracked it, top clubs build upon their successes.
  9. I think the boat thing is directly linked to the size of his willy!
  10. I don’t think we’re a team more likely to win, but we are a team less likely to lose. Which unfortunately makes us bore draw specialists.
  11. I remember the joy I felt at swapping the absolute talent of Joe Cole, for the absolute sh*t of Yossi Benayoun! What an absolutely terrible player!
  12. Strangely since the rumours of his contract talks stalling have started to circulate, it is now reported that several premier league & European clubs are interested in signing him, I’m sure these rumours wouldn’t have surfaced from his agent 😂
  13. Who knows, I was talking from his perspective though.
  14. The thing is, what if he goes to a ‘lesser’ premier league team & doesn’t cut it there? I also think his shortcomings would be highlighted at a team in more of a battle, he won’t give any team an outlet from pressure.
  15. I didn’t say I had any input, but I was there.
  16. Yeah I was in the boardroom, prove I wasn’t!
  17. As I said one of many, just the top one to click on.
  18. I don’t think TT wanted to admit the mistake he had made in picking Ziech and keeping him on for so long.
  19. Then you obviously didn’t watch any of the football that season! Sarri was openly disrespected by every fan in the ground, both home & away, due to the absolutely diabolical football we were playing. It was clear to anyone with any football knowledge that he was in way over his abilities in the Premier League and if it wasn’t for Hazard completely ignoring his instructions we’d never have finished in the top four, furthermore if you watched the Europa final, 100% the players took matters into their hands and played to their strengths and not to his instructions. If you don’t believe me, go back and watch that game. Thats my final conversation with you on this, cos basically, I’ve got a life.
  20. Always right ain’t you, no wonder all everyone does is argue with you.
  21. https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-chelsea-are-preparing-to-sack-sarri-and-replace-him-with-lampard-20190520 Just one of the many articles from that time, good enough?
  22. As I said, revise all you like, Sarri was never staying for year 2 of his contract, fortunately for the club Juve showed interest and it meant they weren’t going to have to compensate him for the old ‘mutual consent’ that was being lined up. How is your mate Sarri doing these days? That’s right he’s out of work with no interest in him! Cos he isn’t a good manager, but sometimes just sometimes the players take things into their own hands.
  23. Ok if you say so, go back and check what you’re saying. In the lead up to the Europa final, everyone was aware this was his final game, and Juve hadn’t even come into the picture at that point. But stick with your story that Sarri was definitely going to be the manager for 19/20 season.
