Remember in Roman we have a ruthless owner, that knows nothing about football, his record proves that he doesn’t understand what it takes to build on the successes we’ve had. Mourinho, Ancelotti, Conte all gone far too soon. I don’t think TT is in the world class coach category, probably in the level below that.

This I agree with, unfortunately the JTs of this world don’t come around to often. I suppose at this point we are suffering from lack of confidence which in turn would embolden people to make decisions.

We have some very good players, I don’t agree with this average tag. Havertz- coveted by a host of clubs. Werner- Scored for fun last season and still making good runs. Pulisic- if he can get the injuries under control, a very big threat. Mount- One of England’s brightest young talents. CHO- Skill, pace, any top team would love him. James- Playing right back for England a position that they have 5-6 options. I could go on, it’s for the manager to make these players into an effective team, on paper our current squad is easily top 4. If it was deemed Frank wasn’t the man to get a tune out of this very talented squad, and we needed an upgrade, then that upgrade should be noticeable and so far it isn’t.

Rumour has it that a couple of big clubs were in for him last summer, even then I’d have let him go, the role he plays has taken his toll on him and he’s nowhere near the player we signed. He also doesn’t fit the system we’ve played for the past 3 seasons, for me it would be thanks for the memories and goodbye.

I put it in the match day thread, playing with wingbacks should give you the best of both worlds. The way we play with wingbacks is giving us the negative aspects of the system. Our defence still looks vulnerable, mainly due to Alonso being such a poor defender, and very rarely do we use the extra attackers to any effect when the formation is switched to attack. We were all laughing at Spurs the other week saying how bad they are to watch, honestly we’re just as bad, we’re not using the system that we have set up to play to its potential. The manager has to be doing better in game to change things, so far it’s been like for like, not good enough.

This 100% Lots of things need to be kept in house. If any other teams manager had done this to one of their players today, we’d all be laughing our socks off! If fans had been in the ground today, their would have been chants of “You don’t know what you’re doing!”

I’ve just not seen that from him, IMO he gives defenders an easy life. The goals scored by him have usually been against ‘lesser’ teams, if he doesn’t produce against the teams we are battling against is he worthy of consideration? If we had bought him instead of him being an academy player, he would be getting dogs abuse with the majority of performance’s.

The test he failed was in overcoming a deficit and a team that had negated his tactics. If you get beaten by a better team, that’s how it goes. We were told by all the ‘experts’ that he changed formations during games if it wasn’t working, have you seen him do that yet? You can win, draw or lose, that’s football, but you have to ask questions of the opponent and TT failed to do that today. Once again we got out of jail due to a silly challenge from an opposition player in the box.

That’s been my view since the first game I watched of his, which I think was the Tottenham game. It’s ponderous football that shows a limited coaching ability. Obviously this is just my opinion.

Today was the first real test of in game management and TT failed spectacularly! Don't forget we’ve been told he’s a tactical genius that spots things in games and shifts the formation to suit. You read it hear first, no way is he here beyond the initial 18 months!

This is the only way to play the wingback formation, it is designed to lure teams forward and hit them with a quick pass forwards. The way we play it is completely counter productive as by the time the ball is actually played forward the opposition have moved back into shape and your extra men are ineffective.

Werner gets touches due to movement and searching for the ball. Tammy doesn’t get touched because he does neither of those things.

Tammy just doesn’t occupy defenders, so they don’t have to worry about him, leaving them free to concentrate on the shape of their defence and nullifying any real threats, it’s why we can’t build attacks. Alonso is also showing his limitations today.
