We play 4231 and Ruben/Jorgi/Kova would play in one of the 2 deeper roles, with Kante being a guaranteed starter in the other role If we switch to 433 it’s possible that RLC and Mount/Kova play together with Kante deeper, again leaving Jorginho on the bench

Jorginho is never keeping RLC on the bench if that’s what you’re implying

And what makes you think the deal isn’t already agreed when multiple media outlets and journalists report the exact same thing? Do you think Lampard would express his hope to keep CHO in public if he didn’t already know or have a clue?

Hope? We’re conceding more than 2 goals a game while our midfielders offer no protection at all for our CBs and are incapable of making tackles or screening a defence, at this point Jorginho is an established failure of a signing

Lampard playing our only 2 fit midfielders shouldn’t be a surprise, wait until next year to see if Jorginho is still starting once Kante/RLC/Kova are fully fit and available

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the only time we’ve looked good this season is when Kante and Kovacic have played together when they both carried Jorginho vs Liverpool

Eriksen plays further forward because he offers a significant goal threat and a playmaking ability, 2 things massively lacking in Jorginho’s game

Hazard scored 20 league goals the season before he joined, Pulisic is absolutely not better in front of goal
