Chelsea v Spuds (PL) Sat 22nd Feb 12:30 GMT
Not really in the mood this week for much pre-match analysis. Just to say f**k VAR and f**k Tottenham. Let’s smash these twats tomorrow.

Dele Alli throwing his toys out of the pram I see. How he gets away with being sh*te week in week out I don’t know. Stealing a living.

I was pro VAR up until recently but last night was the tipping point for me. It’s now actually just helping to double down on the referees’ ineptitude to the point where you start to believe the conspiracy theories about bias. I stopped myself celebrating the Giroud goal and said the to the guy next to me this will go to VAR. Went to the bogs and low and behold it was disallowed. Queue mass exodus from Stamford Bridge. If you think VAR is bad at home just try the experience in the stadium. I don’t condone the abuse refs get but they bring it on themselves with their arrogance in their own incompetence. In any other job you’d be sacked for being so bad. I won’t go as far to describe them as vermin as that’s offensive to rats. Michael Oliver is the one exception.

Another home game and another bang average performance. United were slightly less sh*te than us. I’ve got tickets for the Liverpool cup game and Everton game. Who knows maybe I will see us win at home this season. Honestly think we were better and more exciting in the days when Peacock and Stein etc..

Yeah it’s such a boring procession no-one really cares. Plus throw the overall sh*teness of the league and VAR Into the mix and it’s quite underwhelming. Scousers and their plastic glory hunting hordes will no doubt enjoy it but nobody else cares. No scouse Aguero moment is a definite upside. They’ll have a few good years while Klopp is around but it’s not like they can replace Mané and Salah easily, particularly Mané. Their net spend suggests they’re a sell to buy club and how long will they keep doing that so well, who can say. It’s a hard trick to keep repeating. I realise I’m clutching at more straws than a w**king scarecrow at this point.

I agree. I respect Klopp for rinsing the most out of those players and creating a winning mentality plus they’ve recruited well over the last few years to get them where they are. Worrying thing is only the oil cheats are likely to challenge them over the next couple of years so prepare for more tedium and scouse smugness.

My god Liverpool are boring to watch. Deserve to be where they are etc but apart from Mane and the odd Salah finish it’s just dull efficiency. Great athleticism and a solid back four make it difficult for teams to get at them and eventually they grind out the win. Like George Graham’s Arsenal but with more running.

If the evidence against City is admissible and from what I’m reading it should be given that it is was in the public domain, I don’t see what leg City have to stand on. a) whether you agree with FFP or not, they are the rules and City agreed to abide by them. They could have taken UEFA to Court when these rules came into place or not taken part in UEFA’s competitions if they had objections, unlikely as that would be. It is a weak case to have agreed to a set of rules and then in retrospect attack them after being caught trying to subvert them. Could a higher court find FFP unlawful? I’m not sure. Surely UEFA’s case that it can set its own rules is pretty strong. b) this isn’t merely a breach of FFP. If they had submitted legitimate accounts and been found guilty of a breach that is one thing. However, they have allegedly been submitting false accounts in order to circumvent the rules. This is much more significant. c) They might have a case that the punishment is disproportionate and that is harder to gauge. All that said, I have no idea how the CAS operates so I won’t be taking anything for granted. The fallout from this is going to run and run.

Hilarious but I want to see the outcome of the appeal process before enjoying this too much. Even if they get a one year ban that’s good enough for me. Can’t stand the sense of entitlement of these small time bellends and that petulant twat Guardiola, so hopefully cheerio.

I’m yet to be at the Bridge to see us win this season so I’m thinking my luck has to change this time. Been a fan since the early Prem years growing up surrounded by United fans so really can’t stand this mob. They’re nothing special now but then neither are we. Just win Chelsea.

If Madrid put City out will Pep walk? Probably not but an abysmal showing with that squad.

How Spurs are winning this I don’t know. All the worse for hearing that twat Carragher commentate on it.

I don’t like the use of VAR but it can inject some entertainment into sh*te games like this. Not sure the was the intention though.

Playing on for so long just makes it look like a shambles. Correct decision though. Hahaha it’s kicking off.

A light show and Star Wars music pre-game. As if going to watch Spurs wasn’t torture enough.

Had the misfortune of watching that as well as the Man Utd v Wolves game yesterday. Best league in the world™

Arsenal are somehow going to scrape a result here and we’ll have to hear about Arteta being a football genius for another week.

I don’t really get the criticism of Lampard. For me, he’s rinsing the most out of this squad and the fact we’re 6 points clear in 4th is beyond most’s expectations, certainly mine before the season started. There are glaring issues with the squad that even Klopp or Guardiola couldn’t fix. One thing he needs to think about is the Giroud situation. We might as well use him now even if it’s the odd 10 min sub appearance. Beat United and that might well be 4th done. Late Giroud winner...

Fair to say Leicester should have won with big chances in the second half. We regressed and could barely string a pass together towards the end. Feels like a point gained, based on the balance of play and performance.

We play ‘nice’ football at times but ineffective and soft as sh*te at the back. Bang average and lucky if we scrape 4th.

So f**king soft they way we let them play through us there.
