  1. literally labouring a very winnable game....
  2. Need quickly to score 2 more goals to ensure the win (better 3)... knowing our defensive deficiencies the current number of required goals for this team is: 3
  3. Still feels like this team lacks urgency completely...playing too casually
  4. Hopefully Frank learned something today because this loss is totally on him. No team motivation, poor team selection and wrong tactics today. Coach was the difference between these teams today.
  5. This defence needs to be sold in bulk...Abraham doesn't look useful today at all..every ball goes past him...
  6. nothing is clicking...its about time for Frank to make some tactical changes before it's too late...
  7. very worrying midfield lineup....hmm...suddenly I'm not so sure about the outcome of this game... but still believe we will win it with the substitutions in the second half
  8. Draw or loss is not an option today. It's a must win game given our still upcoming fixtures with Sheffield U, Liverpool and Wolves. As the matter of fact today and Sheffield game is a must win.
  9. Hi all, Just wanted to say Hi and give my story on how I came to support Chelsea. My history with Chelsea goes back to 1997. It was the first time I came to London from the continent to study English. My school was on Munster road and every day on my way to school I would walk past Stamford Bridge. It was a different Stamford Bridge back then than it is now. On the weekday evening matches there were people sitting on the actual bridge on Fulham road above the rail tracks. Sometimes I was one of them too. At that time, you could actually see a part of the North side of the pitch. Those were the days of Ruud Gullit, Gianluca Vialli, Tore André Flo, Dennis Wise, Roberto Di Matteo and Gianfranco Zola. Gianfranco Zola was an absolutely mesmerizing player to watch. One of those underappreciated geniuses. I think it’s the magic of Gianfranco Zola and also living and studying in the proximity at the time got me to supporting Chelsea.
  10. Much better outing this but still left with an “unconvinced” feeling defensively after this game. With total domination we still somehow managed to give away two huge chances to a listless Watford which was not even attacking. Better teams will punish it. Gilmour before the break and Gilmour after the break are two different Gilmours. Let’s hope the first one turns up soon as he currently adds even more pressure on a wobbly defence even with 15 minutes on the pitch rather than shielding it. Don’t want to jinx it but Pulisic is an absolute gem we have.
  11. The turning point of the game was when Rudiger got that panic attack and kicked the ball for the corner with 30 seconds to go. He had time and space to kick it to the nearest parking lot, but no, please have a corner on the plate with the ribbon. Goal from that corner was imminent. Moyes didn’t even have to say anything at half time. They already knew they would score more. Rudiger and Christensen were terrified every time Antonio got the ball near them or smiled at them. Lampard probably should have done a gutsy thing and replaced Rudiger at half-time. Watching this defense, you feel that even randomly assembled team of Joe SixPack would score a goal or two against them. The bottom line is: this defense is beyond repair. They won’t get consistently better. If Lampard persists with the same defense next season it may do unrepairable morale damage to the team. It would gradually demotivate the rest of the team. We talk about simple stupid mistakes which writes off all team efforts. Not being outplayed by better teams, but making consistent simple mistakes against weaker teams. It is now obvious that MU will get the third place. Chelsea, Leicester and Wolves would fight for the fourth till the last day. This last minute conceded goal and lost point might prove to be crucial.
