It means you play with 2 defensive midfielders, not 2 central midfielders. Sure, when attacking things can change and one of the DM can become a number 8 for example, exploiting or cover some spaces, depending on the tactics.

I didn't copy any videos, as if I had no other business. I studied Tuchel's style of play before signing with Chelsea. Today, i think it was very clear when he talked about Kante and i think this is the system he will use most of the time: with two on the back, not with three. Although at PSG he has often played lately with 3 on the back, but let's keep in mind that Marquinhos is at the base central defender, not midfielder. He didnt have a proper player for that role, that's why i think he wanted kante. And this tactic with double 6 is not invented by him. By the way, i searched for that the video, it's pretty good.

Chelsea v Burnley (PL) Sun 31st Jan 2021 12:00 GMT
I think Havertz will fight on the same spot as Mount and the englishman will get his chance next game. I don't see Mount playing inline with Kante in Tuchel's system. I think Werner will replace Abraham in the 60-70 minute.

Double 6 means that you play with 2 defensive midfielders or pivots, but they have different roles. There are different methods in which you can use them, i will refer to the one I think we will see at Chelsea. One of them (Kante) get down on the construction between the two central defenders, while the flakns go up. The second pivot (Kovacic / Jorginho) provides the option to pass in the middle, and an offensive midfielder (Havertz / Mount) descends and covers the missing space left by the pivot who retreated between the central defenders. As the ball go further, one of them goes to destabilize an area of the pitch and create superiority through his presence, the other one will have more defensive mentality. They can rotate between them depending on the situation. Hope that makes sense. In my had...it does😀- Chelsea v Wolves (PL) Wed 27th Jan 2021 18:00 GMT
I could propose 20 line-ups and I didn't hit that one. Azpi will have a lot of work to do this match. It will be a game of possession, let's hope for more creativity and verticality, more balls between the lines. Let's see how it ends, we need a win like air.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
A very good presentation of our new manager. Hope for the best.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
I think the first and the most important thing the new coach will do is to restore the players confidence.- Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
Hello everyone, I want to apologize if my english is not grammatically correct. I am not a native English speaker. I see people have a lot of problems with Tuchel. He hasn't even been official appointed, but we are speaking about sacking him. To 4 is hard to get, but we can still have hope. I don't think Frank could turn things around. He is still new in coaching, we don't have e record of him revitalizing a team. Should Chelsea have given him more time? No, why should they? Because he is Frank Lampard? The man is a legend, he must be treated with respect. But that's all from my point of view. He had the chance of coaching on of the best teams in Europe because of what he means for the club. Finally, as a coach, the results speaks for you. If there was any other coach in his place, the fans were desperate to be fired. Reports said that the team was divided. I didn't saw a clear idea of what football should the team play. I don't think the players had an idea either. We were tactically outclassed in many games, i dont think is hard for other managers to prepare the tactics for playing against Chelsea. Lampard said after Arsenal defeat that "“It is not tactics or systems, it is do you want to run, back your team-mate out and sprint?" Sure it is about tactics. You can run as much as you want, but if you don't do it smart, you run for nothing. Leeds also runs and they are in 12th place. Our pressing is bad, not organized, not smart, the players get themselves out of position with ease when they press. We have fast players in attack but they receive the ball with the back to the goal or when they are outnumberd on the flanks in 99% of times. Then we are passing back and repeat. Or throw the ball in the box, maybe something happens. A joy to watch, glad i haven't broken my TV yet. We are not playing for the players qualities. I don't know what Lampard does in training sessions, but a national team seems more cohesive than Chelsea. So give Lampard more time for what? To learn coaching? Chelsea is a coaching school for legends now? Where is the tactical mastermind? When playing 3 on the back and no one expected? I saw that someone raises the issue that if Tuchel plays 4-2-3-1, it is a system that benefits Havertz and Mount could jump out of the scheme. So what? We want positive results or to see some players in the first eleven? And i'm sure Mount can play as no.10. It is wrong to say that you are "only 5 points away from top 4". We are in 9th place for God's sake. 10th if you take into account that Southampton has one game less and is tied on points. Aston Villa and Everton are 2 games less, Tottenham 1. It's a messed up situation. We can hope that the new manager can turn things around but is very very hard to reach top 4. We finishd 4 last season not because Lampard was tactical genius, but because other teams like Tottenham or Arsenal had a bad season and Leicester dropped form at the end of the season ( Leicester only 3 wins in the last 14 games). I think it was a lucky 4th place. - Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
