FC Porto v Chelsea (CL) Wed 7th Apr 2021 20:00 GMT
I did not see the usual pressing in the opposite half. I didn't understand those long balls sent by the defenders. A bad first half, lucky thing we scored. It was as if the break for the national team matches f... us.

Champions League Quarterfinal & Semifinal draw
Very good draw. Avoid PSG, Bayern and City. I don't think we will have big problems with Porto, I hope we don't have injuries. However, I am afraid of Real Madrid, they have players with extraordinary experience in UCL and they have the habit to get in the best shape towards the end of the season.

Champions League Quarterfinal & Semifinal draw
I searched now for that episode and found the UEFA position: 'The integrity of sporting competition is a fundamental principle for UEFA. Both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA disciplinary regulations contain clear provisions which strictly forbid any club to exert, or attempt to exert, any influence whatsoever over the players that another club may (or may not) field in a match. 'It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned. 'Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA disciplinary regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly.'

I think he can play. Remember Courtois when we played with Atletico.

Chelsea v Everton (PL) Mon 8th Mar 2021 18:00 GMT
So TT doesn't eat sh*t at press conferences when he says he's happy with all the players and everyone deserves to play, but the team is chosen tactically depending on the opponent.

He probably wouldn't have been at this level under Frank. But ... changing coaches, adapting to different tactics, learning new things, makes you a more mature player. I said earlier that I don't think Frank played him in the right position, but even so, I don't know how many coaches would have given Mount so many matches. Now we probably have the future captain of the team in the years to come. We have seen other players who have shown us that they can do very well as long as they are not too exposed . We rediscovered players like Kovacic, Jorginho, Rudiger, Alonso or Christensen. But let's not go into a Frank vs Tuchel discussion again. Things look good, we look with confidence and smile at the next games, we have great chances in 4th place and to further qualify in UCL. The team looks good, has confidence, has results. Let's hope we finish the season well because I am very confident that we will look much better after the summer training.

Tuchel has a different mentality than Lampard(training+tactics), but i also think Frank lost the dressing-room, just like Conte or Sarri. I know that was a lot of discussions here after Frank got sacked, but im sure that he is happy with how the team is performing at this moment. And his coaching legacy lives on with Mount or James delivering at the highest standard.

Today we learned that we can also deal with pressure on our defense. And what a style of getting out of defense ... like with a smile on your face. Huge victory, but it must be doubled by a victory against Ancelotti's team. At least we have a few quiet days until Monday.

Come on mates, more confidence in the team. Be more positiv, we are not going to a funeral here. No worries, we are Chelsea and we will win.

I think that we will win tomorrow. But i'm also drunk so don't take me 100% seriously. I lost 1 percent.

James has HUGE, HUGE potential but still a lot to learn tactically and mentally. He is doing well when we press up, but he has moments when he does not withstand the pressure. I always have emotions when i see him in the 18-yard box. Maybe it's just me, don't know, i have fears. Fears are no good, i will seek help. Still has to learn and having Azpi and Silva there i thnik it helps him develop as a player. Frank did a good job promoting him, i think he will make a big impact for Chelsea in years to come. But still, let's not get drunk with cold water in this season. Defensively, sure RJ is better than CHO, but I don't think CHO knew what hit him when Tuchel asked him to play as wb. We didn't know either. I personally remembered Moses and searched Google to see how he was doing in those covid-19 days. Good point with shooting from distance, given that our midfielders shoot as if they had wooden legs with square corners.

We weren't very lucky trying to guess Tuchel's team, I don't think we'll succeed now either. But is fun. I will try to guess: Mendy Azpi Silva Rudiger James Kante Kova Chilwell Mount Werner Tammy

Kai Havertz
Tuchel speaks highly of all the players. It's his style of managing the dressing room and help them build confidence even when they are not playing.

I don't think Werner is suited for playing alone striker in a possession-based football, especially in PL. He is like a second striker, coming from between the lines. But why not using Werner earlier is a fair point to make. Maybe we had a chance of a good counterattack or maybe we could force Man United to play deeper since we had a fast player up front. Still, i think Olivier and Tammy are a more appropriate choice for our system, with Werner a bit deeper(Mount/Ziyech position). I think that in this system the striker is sacrificed to highlight the players behind him. I know i'm pissing against the wind here, but i don't think Ziyech had a bad game. My biggest concern since Tuchel was how we will do if a good team will press us high. Well, MU did that and the team did well in those circumstances. Still strong defence and midfield, usual headaches in attack. Now, this 0-0 is for MU. We lost the opportunity to close the gap between us, them and Leicester. 2 huge games are comming and i think we desperately need 6 points from those.

Actually no. You're probably confusing, it's okay.I also sometimes confuse things. But it's okay, I don't take it personally.

I'm sorry mate, it was a pamflet, I didn't mean to upset anyone. It's just that the spirits are too tense around here. I didn't know that the sense of humor had reached the edge also.

We've grabbed a few points, damn there are ugly points. We want fashion style points. We need points but not any kind. The points must be pleasant, they must be taken in style and necessarily with two central defenders. We have a good chance to reach quarter-finals in UCL after 9 years. But man that's an ugly way to do it. Too much possession is boring. We have to leave the ball more to the opponent, let them create something, more adrenaline is good for health. We should take the points with a maximum of 55% possession. Goalkeepers must have more work to do in games. The club doesn't just pay them to stay on the field and watch the game. Let the opponents shoot on target for God's sake, so our GK work hard for those high salaries. We have to score beautiful goals and definitely with the players from the academy. Dont't like rumors about Halland, we have Tammy. Otherwise, civil war.

Good first half. From a tactical point of view, spurs looked like anonymous. Still weak on finishing and last pass, the players are still building their self-confidence.

Chelsea v Burnley (PL) Sun 31st Jan 2021 12:00 GMT
Yes, the transition from a conservative to a more vertical pass game is not that easy. I saw some runs that were not exploited with passes, the players not being sure where or when to pass the ball. They are able to do that, but they need to adapt their way of thinking and risk more in some cases.

Chelsea v Burnley (PL) Sun 31st Jan 2021 12:00 GMT
My thoughts on the game. Rudiger. I think Rudiger plays as a starter not because he has superior defensive qualities compared to Zouma(think they are on par), but because of the long passes. He played well in both matches. Azpi. Good in the system with 3 central defenders. His ability helps CHO and his right flank. He destabilizes the right side when he push up. Silva. There's not much to talk about. Best summer transfer. Alonso. It can be seen that he plays after a long time. Quality goal, did not impress me in the rest of his game. But I can say the same about Chilwell in the previous game. Kovacic. I was pleasantly impressed by him in both matches. Jorginho. Clearly we shouldn't expect him to play like he did under Sarri. It does not have the same tactical attributes. Good in both games, but i will drop him when Kante will be fit. CHO. It's like we're seeing another player. Although he has to put more effort, he has the advantage of spaces created by this tactic. He seems a much more confident player. Mount. Mount had good game, above the team average. I expected him to be a competitor on the same position with Havertz, because it suits him better than playing as no8. Better than what I saw from Havertz in the first match. Werner. Clearly lack of confidence in his case. I think he will compete with Abraham and Giroud for the top spot. Abraham. Poor game on his part, but the same can be said about Giroud in the last match. It seems that both are not adapted to the new style of play. On defensive. Looks much more solid, even when our midfilders loose ball. Pressing is good, it does not take us out of positions that remain uncovered. Didn't have too many emotions in this 2 games. Palyers look like they have more tactical awareness. On offensive. We verticalize more and we create some spaces. The players look and try to pass forward than a safe pass back to the central defenders. I will expect more in the near future. We don't know yet who is the best striker for Tuchel's tactics is. None of them impressed so far.

Media should be unbiased and we shouldn't sleep on one ear about this. It affects not only football, but also society in general. I know Harry can be very influential in the media, but I don't think it's good for Frank. People will get a certain idea because of this. I think Frank wants Chelsea to succeed and would give Tuchel all the inside information if he asked.

Yes, it makes sense. You can use 2 pivots in many ways. The players are not stuck in a position on the field, especially when you do counter-press. Kante has the energy to cover large spaces of the pitch. If the other pivot rooms from his position, Kante can cover and vice-versa. Given that we play with an advanced bottom line, one of them can play closer to the attacking line or press the opponent. For example, the flanks will go up a lot and in case we are caught on the counterattack, a central defender will cover the pone flank and a pivot will take his place in defense. The second pivot will come and cover the space between the enemy forward and the others that come in support. Depending on the situation, maybe even the pivot will block the man in the flank for example. I think Billy will be very suitable for this position playing alongside Kante. Probably not this season, but I expect to see him start next season in many matches. My only thought is that they are both small. I think of Ampadu too, but I don't know how he is doing today.
