Reports going around that Balogun failed his medical and his move to Everton is off. That might mean that Monaco needs to sell a different player and opens the door to a Camara deal being back on the table. Speculation based on rumor, but something to keep an eye on in the waning hours.

That’s the downside of putting a natural winger like Neto at wingback; while we get an extra attacking minded player going forward, and he has the pace to track back, he’s not a natural defender and can give up some chances down that touch line when out of possession.

The Uber driver this morning had a Chelsea crest hanging from his rear view mirror so we happily chatted about the squad the whole ride. His brother is a West Ham supporter so this match was obviously one of great importance for him, hope he’s enjoying the victory and engaging in some friendly sibling banter in the afterglow.
