I'd guess fofana is left out against Barca. Otherwise he likely won't play, or more likely get injured, against Arsenal.

Badiashile back in first team training. As is Axel Disasi. Could the disaster twins be reunited for this game? Will maresca let fofana play two games in a row as Barca is a Tuesday game and Arsenal a Sunday one?

Aye has been out on the training pitch and he is said to be pushing for his return as he really wants to face Barca.

With Barca, and Arsenal, in mind I would pick a risky defensive set up and hope to outscore Burnley so we can rest James, Gusto, Cucurella and Caicedo while keeping Fofana fresh.

Lets just throw some empty shirts onto the pitch. That way we can rest everyone for whatever game is actually important enough to want to win. This resting thing is doing my head in!

Lets definitely not use any of our best players until the Champions League final that our completely un-gelled collections of fringe players will reach. But then, if the following seasons fixtures start with a tricky away game at Arsenal, we'd actually better rest players for the UCL final as well. And so on... grrrr

Play our strongest team, can't afford another slip up like Brighton or Sunderland. Players can easily play twice a week.

Could make for a fun game though.

Burnley are the worst team in the league at defending set pieces. We know Josh and disasi are very good at attacking them, and Badiashile is pretty good at that too.

So out score them and give us the best chance to beat Barca.
