Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
I vote Martinez to start as a DM... TBH, most players can play in a number of poisions across midfield and defence. strikers and keepers are the specialists, Drogba used to play as a winger for Marseille, Henry was a winger too?! anyhow, imagine if we had an Ivanovic right now...

Estêvão
Stevo has bags of talent, would love him to succeed here and turn on the style. He has a massive 6/12 months ahead of him, he has to impress Alonso, force his way into the side, and establish himself as a top Premier League player. He hasnt done that for me since arriving. We've seen flashes and moments of class, needs faith from the manager, run of games and minutes and stay injury free. A precocious talent who will force a move if he doesnt get game time. Barca/PSG/Real will all be sniffing around in January if he's not getting regular game time.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
I dont know, but as others have said, weve changed a lot in a very short space of time. We have largely gotten rid of the players we didnt want at the club, have signed some experience and got an upgrade in Enzo with rogers, Palmer looks like he is happier again playing football. Perhaps Alonso is comfortable with the players he has at his disposal /Wants to try and shape a team out of what is here already. Can he improve players/ develop promising youngsters? Will his training sessions lead to as many injuries... Currently, there's a lot to get behind imo. Im really not fussed on missing out on a player after selling enzo. bank it and use it if needed another time in a position that needs attention.

Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) Sunday 6th September 16:30 GMT
Would happily take a point right now, but reckon Palmer might get up to some mischief and set the alarm bells ringing in North London. 3-2 palmer hatrick and havertz/ Madueke to score for them, knowing the ex chelsea player scoring curse. .

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Just want to see us competitive against arsenal to keep the momentum alonso seems to be building with the set of players. Got rid of dead wood and hangers on, lets see if this lot can strike the balance needed between defence and attack. Genuinely enthusiastic right now about how its going so far.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Does selling Fernandez mean we dont have to sell the women's team or a hotel back to ourselves this year??

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
Not sure there has been any other player at the club whose sale is so welcomed. Anyone care to jog/refresh my memory? would have taken 80 million tbh... Im delighted I dont ever have to see his face in a chelsea shirt again. Thanks Enzo for.... ummm... stinking out the place.

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
If City do get their man, I will personally shake the hands of Maresca should I ever meet him. i dont know if i am laughing or crying that another club value Enzo at 120 million, are prepared to pay it, and the deal, at this stage, looks like its going through says BBC as clubs enter into final negotiations. Wonder if the directors are trying to get first dibs on Haarland...

Marc Guiu
Was talking about last season. Missed some absolute clangers... Never recovered, mentally weak, never good enough to lead the line at Chelsea. Essentially another Franco Di Santo. Why on earth would the club or you want to give him another season? Wish the guy well and move on from another failed youth prospect for us, we've probably made money on him and he isnt a chelsea or Alonso issue to deal with anymore.

14 million for a guy who's confidence was shot after missing open goals and sitters in preseason. Never chelsea class, but good luck in Germany.

Tosin Adarabioyo joins Chelsea
Never Chelsea level player, no surprise that we signed him from a mid table club and we became a mid table club. Wish him well as he takes them into a relegation battle.

Jorrel Hato *Official*
Thought I'd bump this... Way he recieves the ball reminds me of Eddie Newton for some reasons. Clearly see why we sold Cucurella. Growing into the club by the looks of it.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
4:3 points better ask Alonso. 3 wins from 3 aint a bad little start. Yeah, we are conceding, but expect things to tighten up over the next few games and if it doesn't, well, going to enjoy the counter and attacking football. Yesterday was the sort of game i expect to see henderson coming into to secure things up in the second half. Slate has been wiped clean imo for a number of players. They look hungry under Alonso. Not sure the club knows how to handle the Enzo situation, expect him to still be here and that's not sitting well with me.

Emiliano Martinez
Bet he drops a couple of absolute clangers in the first couple of games. 🤣 I've forgotten what a world Class keeper looks like, looking forward to seeing his sh*thousery between the sticks. Hope he builds a good understanding with the back line. Welcome to the madhouse Martinez.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
We look organised and play the ball with a bit more purpose and players appear to be playing in positions they understand. Hope it continues. please.

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
"Allegedly"... is allegedly not going to keep me out of jail if sued... However, it IS the kind of story I would love as my epitaph.

Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man City
I remember when David Platt was the most expensive player on the planet when his transfer fees were combined. Platt was a decent player back then. City once spent 250 million on four defenders; shrinkflation means they're getting less players yet spending the same money... In chocolate terms, Enzo is a 2026 Mars bar compared to a David Platt-sized 1991 version, scorlatchio... incidentally, the type and size Mick Jagger was arrsted for allegedly eating out of Marianne Faithfull.... Radom facts of the day, and I assure you, this isnt AI generated...

Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
The legend that was Peter Chech was 21/22 when we signed him. So no issues if the club promote Penders, Chech turned out alright, and he was turd with the ball at his feet unless he was going long, when he would find Drogba's head regularly. Game has changed but keepers used to play percentages kicking to the corner of the halfway line or beyond for distance from goal.... and there is nothing wrong with Sanchez doing that for us and just being a keeper. Every manager, it appears, wants keepers to do Cruyff turns in their six-yard box, take 2 touches and send a defence-splitting pass. (sanchez got a couple of assists last season from his distribution so he can do it) Given the lack of decent keepers, Im happy with Sanchez for now. give him a few more games in Alonso's system, think it'll all settle down given how well drilled they looked yesterday when not in possession. We looked tight and tidy; the first game of the season is the best one to get the ricks out of the system. Cant have too many more. If there was a keeper to replace Sanchez, I'd hope the club would look at Pickfrod, but would need a crowbar to get him to leave everton.

Fulham vs Chelsea (PL) Monday 24th August 20:00 GMT
very good result for a lot of reasons, I actually enjoyed watching us for the first time in a long while. Season off to a flyer with 3 points and a good attacking performance. roll on the next game

Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
Saw his best and worst sides last night once again. He looked terrified before kick off. beaten on his near post like a child in goal. Then takes pressure crosses and does the basics well after the error imo. Interesting to see what Alonso does.

Random Rumours
yeah, sort of fanboy response I expected. Sorry, I wish we had Anderson in our midfield and not enzo. We would be a much better side. While you're here, and I ask this of Enzo fanboys, list ten games where Enzo has been MOM and looked like a 120 million pound player in our shirt. With some luck not our problem to worry about after this week. And hes a trashy scummy human and I cant stand him, but not up for fans booing him, yes despicable pos but hes our pos.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Feel guilty that I really enjoyed that match. Sure, defensively we will sharpen up, BUT, it was really very good to see us looking like a well drilled side. Players looked like they knew what they were doing and we looked a threat going forward. Hope Palmer didnt get an injury. Great result tbf. Loking forward to the next one. But we looked energetic and had a bit of swashbuckle about us.

Random Rumours
If Enzo was better than Anderson, Enzo would have been signed first by city this season. The "stats" dont really lie either. https://one-versus-one.com/en/compare-players/Enzo-Fernandez-vs-Elliot-Anderson# Anderson is head and shoulders above Enzo on pretty much every stat. There is some blind spot in our fanbase as to what enzo brings to the side, most of it is imaginary from his fan boys. At Chelsea, Caicedo has to carry Fernandez, in the Argentinian side, Macallister carries Enzo. Enzo knew this elbowing Anderson in the back of the head in the semi final, as did argentina who targeted throughout the first 45 mins. Corrupt officiating put pay to Englands chances. 90 million for a player who hasnt adjusted to the the league after 3 years, he reminds me of veron, great player in the wrong league. Very few clubs will spend 80 million on Enzo. We are stuck with the creature.
