Reports going around that Balogun failed his medical and his move to Everton is off. That might mean that Monaco needs to sell a different player and opens the door to a Camara deal being back on the table. Speculation based on rumor, but something to keep an eye on in the waning hours.

That’s the downside of putting a natural winger like Neto at wingback; while we get an extra attacking minded player going forward, and he has the pace to track back, he’s not a natural defender and can give up some chances down that touch line when out of possession.

Missed this one due to travel and will have to watch the replay. The Uber driver this morning had a Chelsea crest hanging from his rear view mirror so we happily chatted about the squad the whole ride. His brother is a West Ham supporter so this match was obviously one of great importance for him, hope he’s enjoying the victory and engaging in some friendly sibling banter in the afterglow.

Giving Estevao a rest with a big midweek UCL match coming up is ok with me, assuming he gets the start against Napoli.
