Just to provide an illustration of our second-half season decline. The manager bottled it... Ipswich knew how to beat Marescas system from the championship... I said at start of the season that if he gets us higher than poch and into CL, he'd probably deserve another season. I take those words back having seen how appalling his brand of football is, i dont care if we get CL football or not, there are better managers out there who would instil a winners mentality into this side Maresca doesnt have.

Will be interesting to see where Sir Frank Lampard is by the end of the day. Could be seeing him at the bridge next season as things currently stand and he'd need to secure promotion via playoffs... Long way to go but good to see him having adecent run again.

I like Bellingham, but im not overly convinced by his hype yet.

This guy is my player of the season. Dont care where we finish in the league or if we win the euro cup and CWC.... Toss up between Palmer and Caicedo... I love Palmer, he's been brilliant, love the carefree attitude he has.. but I think taking Caicedo out of this side weakens us more than if we didn't have Palmer. Might be controversial, but, Palmers form since Xmas hasnt been great but not sure there's been a drop off in Caicedo's form and without him think we'd get bullied a lot more through the middle. doesnt get the goals or assists, but i look at his game and see Dessially, Viera, and Fernandinho about him and he is a proper meat head who throw s his weight around. Bobby Di Matteo also had a bit of ruthlessness about him. I see a lot of other players styles in his game and I just enjoy watching him get among it. I think this guy has been a busy heart in the engine room and is an absolute destroyer... Love him. Sorry Palmer, this season, my vote is for this guy.

Jackson isnt playing in a side with world-class talent in every position. Put Jackson into the side Kalou played in and different story. Different times so probably unfair. Kalou was one of my least favourite player of that era. Many others i just didnt appreciate, Torres another busted pflush we overspent on for example but I guess I can see why fans get so frustrated. But I should point out again, everyone wants to nail Jackson to the cross and call him out, But without his goals early in the season, We wouldnt even currently be sitting in CL places. He got us another 3 points yesterday and we kept a clean sheet. Its not fashionable to stick up for the guy, everyone finds the time to point out the glaring obvious in his game but the "donkey" has kept going and may well deliver us top 4/ champs league. (which we will royally mess up next season) Get pissy all you want, he misses a ton, shoots into the sky, said early in the season its a divine act from God the ball finds his head and the back of the net... But he hasnt gone hiding. I appreciate that and it takes a big man who criticises to dig deep into a pocket and actually say well done. Not many on here with the balls to do that today. And funnily enough, Jackson is already nearing Kalous goal scoring records.... so not really the GOTCHA you were hoping for @General

Cheers for the 3 points Wacko Jacko. the comparissons to Kalou are unfair, Kalou played in a side with much better players and still contrived to be kak, Ive never felt the same levels of frustration watching Jackson as I did Kalou. I dont think Kalou is a bad man either. Still look back at his period at the club as a good one despite him being so crap... Anyhow, im sure there'll be someone with knickers around his ankles all twisted at this suggestion.
