  1. Would be a good point victor if it were the UAE bombing Yemen however, Manchester City's owners are from the UAE... Newcastle are owned by a Suadi Consoritum, it was Saudi arabia who bombed Yemen. See this entry: We do live in a post-truth world where incorrect opinions are more valid simply because you believe them more vicariously than someone else. Im done, going to give this place a wide birth until the end of the season. Enjoy the sh*t fest being served up - I hope we get top 4... but current form suggests otherwise.
  2. Look... Get mad at my take... i really dont care. I've not even spoken about other conflicts, as I was keeping it to CFC and Ukraine/ Russia. Im not going to take a lesson on antisemitism from you given the article, its publishers and folk who support it. Many american Jews in this instance.. Never mind. Go be salty elsewhere and keep crying into your pillow about roman.
  3. the fact he put himself into 4 goalscoring positions last night says it all... I actually loved the fact he had a smile about it too... He knows it, we know it, just a matter of time before it clicks once more.
  4. You need to move on... or perhaps think about the thousands of Ukrainians who have died since 2014 because a sovereign country has been invaded. Putin has sent nearly 1 million Russians to be either killed or maimed in Ukraine and i do find it bad taste to cry for our former owner. If you choose to ignore the evidence of wrongdoing, that's on you. Personally, I can no longer and wont trust anyone who holds an Israeli passport and invests in a genocidal basket case state to avoid prosecution... Israel’s Law of Return Lets Crim...Israel’s Law of Return Lets Criminals Abroad Run From the...Israel routinely refuses to extradite its own citizens — including people who’ve flown there purely to escape justice. Its Law of Return rewards criminals who can claim a vague connection to Israel...We do live in a post-truth world where incorrect opinions are more valid simply because you believe them more viciforusly than someone else. Anyhow, the football is miserable enough without having to remember the good times under our former boss... who incidentally was massaging the books, a problem that still hasnt gone away and the club will pay a price for. Have a good one mate. 🖖
  5. Did anyone get hit in the head last night by one of his wayward efforts? where there's blame there's a claim... 🤣 think his goals will turn up like london busses soon... He's an absolute baller this gent.
  6. @Ukraine Bolt sorry mate, probably worth a read... https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/stories/2023-11-14/secret-deal-links-roman-abramovich-to-putins-wallet The lawfare that all super rich use kept a lot of the unsavoury stuff out of the public domain. Plus, super wealthy folk can use companies etc etc... its why we're all getting poorer and the super wealthy keep getting richer. Despite all the above, Roman was a one off, glad we were the beneficiries. Cheers Roman
  7. This angers me.... Ticket touts are scum.
  8. Congrats on stuffing championship team Southampton... But that was an unconvincing 4-0 win - Play like that against Maresca's former team and they'll turn us over simply by desire.
  9. Two goals against West ham and Southampton... teams cut out for relegation... and this guy gives it a big one celebrating his mediocrity with the talking celebration after scoring both... Wish he'd scored more and created more this season, we wouldnt be in the situation we are if he had....
  10. goalkeepers dont have to be special, they just got to do the basics. Petrovic did them better than Sanchez last season and Sanchez is our number one this season and statistically is better than the pair we have used this season. It doesnt matter, thanks to the owners we're not a serious club anymore and the players and manager couldnt give a toss either... They all know they'll be sold, get better deals elsewhere and or be paid off millions of quid. If we were a serious club, we wouldnt have sold our best midfielder last summer, to make way for a player the manager clearly didnt want and helped line the shareholder's pockets.
  11. They do at our club... his hamstirng will probably strangle him tonight sat on the subs bench.
  12. Digging out the player who has carried you to this point seems like a very illogical decision. Can we start a campaign to free Palmer from Maresca's chains?
  13. Someone here described Maresca as Btec Pep... I absolutely love that description of him as its about right. I have zero issues with Maresca tbh. Nice guy but out of his depth, wrong appointment (again) and I think we allI know he's just the fall guy for the board who I wish a lifetime of Egyptian curses upon... and cats to take the smelliest sh*t in their gardens... or they just sell the F-up and F-off back to the states to spend the cartel cash that Florida and American finance is built upon. C**ts... I'm saying it here now, I wish Maresca well in his next role when he collects his P45.
  14. I dont actually have a problem with fans chanting Romans name tbh.... the guy, regardless of his associations, is a legend to the club and was a really good owner. I doubt there'll be another owner like him anywhere in football who will come and buy us out. I just look back at the Roman era with fondness, I got to see the Premier League trophy lifted at the bridge a number of times. Good times and we're now well past them. But sadly it is part of a wider war effort and its not the only company that's been sanctioned in Russia for its efforts since it invaded Ukraine.
  15. https://www.occrp.org/en/feature/despite-denials-abramovich-companies-have-supplied-materials-for-russian-military It's also fair to say that many of the Oligarchs would use lawfare to tie up investigations into their affairs. This has subsequently stopped since many have been sanctioned and no longer have access to UK courts. I dont doubt Roman tried to talk to Russia, negotiate for both Ukr/ Russia, but anyone with ties to Putin has sadly been implicated in a much wider net. None of the looking back will help the club under the current ownership.
  16. Dennis Wise still a director at Como? Can we get him to do a deal with the mafia to buy our club... or just get him back as the sporting director and sack everyone else?
  17. Im pretty gutted the way the season has gone. Its big Phil Scolari all over again. one trick pony... Maresca falls into the nice guy club too big bracket and goes the way of AVB, Big Phil, Lampard, Potter and probably a number of other names we've had in the past. I've written off the season too. When is the opening league fixture in August, sure we'll be without Maresca and Palmer as he'll have to be sold to pay for shareholders to wipe their asses on gold leaf sh*t rag.
  18. the worse thing the Conservatives and Labour did was to allow the Russians in in the first place. Talk about stopping the boats, should have turned away the billions of stolen russian assets before they arrived.
  19. Dont think it really matters to the players or manager, see this season's abysmal cup efforts, so who cares about some also-run competition we're only in because we won the biggest competition three years ago. We're a different club now I dont recognise or get excited about
  20. From Top 4/ title run form to relegation form in two months. Only 12 more games before we get his replacement.
  21. Said this months ago...
  22. After seeing him yesterday, the only place this guy needs to occupy on a pitch is six foot under it. Cant and wont defend what I saw yesterday. That was disgraceful. Palmer called him out twice on the pitch yesterday.
  23. I'd argue Paul Furlong was worse with his head given his body type. Madueke is our English version of Adama Traore/ Allen Saint Maximum, great going forward and running but an end ball that causes multiple car crashes and pile-ups. In two years, he struggles to pick out his team mates. I'd have rather had signed Willian and played him for the rest of the season and he's soon to wear a Chelsea Pensioners red jacket. Palmer, despite having a game he needs to forget, looked more at home, more direct and dangerous, thoughtful and caused more trouble than Noni does. Noni is a bang average premiership winger. awful attitude on him as well.
  24. Another decision our former manager got right. Anyone with a pair of eyes could see the improvement defensively with this guy between the sticks last season... The people running the club just dont have eyes.
  25. Trying to stay positive. Two teams absolutely desperate for a win usually produces a dour game. Fingers crossed for the 3 points.
