I'll take proven quality at this point. We sold it - Gallagher has it - He is playing a tactical role at Atletico so there is absolutely no reason why he couldnt have done it for us this season, except for the board forcing him out and bringing in Felix. Santos is playing in Little Ligue 1, good prospect but hasnt yet played a game for us and will need to adjust to the league, and or may or may not be sold before ever playing a league game for us. Of course, Gallagher wont be coming back but my oh my we could have done with him this season. We've seen some horrendous decisions by the board.

Its a case of not looking around us and wishing for other teams success isnt it. I think while we've fallen off the pace, Newcastle have stepped on it. Compare their results with ours the past 8 games. The difference between us and them is they have beaten teams we've drawn with. Maresca hasnt done badly, we are probably exactly where we should be. But the collapse in results is going to become problematic for him if he cant change things around. Its always easier to maintain a pace than try and beat it and from a position where we can set our own pace, we've sh*t the bed.

With you on Nkunku, still unsure of Felix. But the midfield has to chip in with goals. Noni had the beating of his fullback last night and didnt do enough of it. The guy has the ability to be a star in this side. Very frustrating given his ability, he really needs to kick on the second half of the season. The goals scored and created from our team is nothing short of diabolical outside Paler and Jackson. The fact Desasi has scored the same number of goals as Felix and Neto is criminal. Sancho for all his footwork has terrible numbers and Noni should be sold in January if he is going to play like a spoilt brat. Without Palmer and Jackson we wouldnt even be near top four. Imagine CFC without those two and we'd be relegated. Yes Jackson had some terrible moments but at lest he keeps turning up to miss them and doesnt give up. While we have two on our books who struggle, so we end up selling one that looks good when played. The player we brought in to replace last season's captain is also available six months on from signing so the rumour goes... We have players we cant sell... just sounds a bit of a nightmare.
