Champions League - Last 16
Thats not a bad draw. If you look at who we could have got we came out of it ok. I'm sure CR will get a nice reception on his return.

Well we have finally done it
I looked at our home results this season, apart from humping Pompey and Sunderland 4-0 and 5-0 respectively, we average under a goal a game at SB in the league. Thats unbelievable....6 goals in 7 games. Thats where the problem solely lies. It took 44 minutes before we got a shot on target against West Ham and thats becoming a regular occurance in our games. When teams play with the intention of sitting back we cant break through. We cant utlise the abilities of Ash and Bosingwa as theres no space for them to run into, so we resort to probing away in front of the defence to no avail. It comes to an end with a cross ballooned into the box with no whip or pace on it for anyone to attack. I suppose its the price we have to pay for free flowing football. Maybe Jose's methods werent so bad afterall......Eh Roman?

Totally agree with that. Drogba looked like the Drogba of two seasons ago when he couldnt stop scoring and I felt Anelka look more lively when they were paired together. Its the so called "Plan B" that were didnt have. Then again, thats why Scolari is managing the team and we're online talking about it. No point trying to second guess him <_<

Ok...so maybe that came across wrong. I didnt mean that we should be "scared" to play anyone incase of injury. What I was getting at was LFS has a tried and tested formation that I think he'll stick to. Anelka is doing a job right now and LFS should have no reason to drop him. Drogba is looking sharp so it gives him a headache on who to pick or to play both. As much as I want to see both of them on the pitch today I cant see him starting off that way. I agree that we need to do something to stop the rot where the home form is concerned, but why now and not earlier in the season. He's stuck to his tactics no matter what and has said he'll play the same way at home as we do away. Its a game we should win comfortably, so there should be no reason to take risks. Get in, 3 points, bish-bash-bosh...... top of the league.

He'd an opportunity to play them both against Cluj and opted to go with one up front even though it was vital we got a win. I cant see anything changing today. 4-5-1 is his prefered formation. Just my opinion. Thats allowed isnt it?

As much as I'd like to see us go 4-4-2, I just cant see it right now. If we play both Anelka and Drogba and one picks up an injury, we're snookered. FDS isnt ready to return yet and it would leave our options up front to the bare bones. Until we get another striker on the books we'll continue to play 4-5-1 (4-3-3) imo. Drogba would be my prefered choice upfront today given that our home record over the last few weeks has been below par. Anelkas is more suited to a counter attacking game. DD looks hungry and raring to go.

Hey
I registered in here a while ago and forgot about it when I lost all my info and had to reset my computer. I got an e-mail from the site and hope to get back to posting. Although my posts to date arent worth writing home about.

Marseille consider Boulahrouz bid !
Long term Arse Target......would be a crying shame if we snatched him from under their noses

NEW MANAGER - Who's your money on...
The thing that worries me, is that waiting on Scolari could backfire. While waiting on him to decide, Mancini and Rijkaard could take jobs elsewhere and Scolari could well decide to stay with Portugal, leaving us in a pickle. If they have someone to take over I wish they'd announce it now and stop dragging this out.
