  1. We bid for Dzeko. Player signs. You bid for Torres. Player puts in transfer request to get move. Tottenham bid for Aguero. Player signs a new contract at current club.
  2. Thanks. Points on the board. Yeh just seen that one. Really strange one. Apparently he only has 6 months left on his deal so he might be worth a punt and if he does well, sign him on a free as back up. We obviously believed we were done for the window so its take something lesser or nothing at all.
  3. I wouldn't be apposed to it. Still above you in the league though ;)
  4. Wonder if we could bump the price up a bit for you?
  5. Well, well, well. Enjoy Bolton Danny.
  6. Up untill yesterday we had the best defensive record in the league. The best away record and have been scoring 3+ goals pretty much every week or the last month or so. Top of the league as well. Can't wait until we become convincing.
  7. We aren't after Cavani at all. We had a lot of catching up to do and we will slow down on the acquisitions now. We are close to having our team. All we really need is another cb and cover for Silva. We have used players as stepping stones. The likes of Croque and Ade have lead onto Balotelli and Dzeko. You went through a few strikers to get to Drogba and you were much closer to the top than us. Dzeko will be top class and I can't wait to watch him.
  8. Yeh I was really happy with it. Considering those competing with us for fourth dropped points while we gained a point at the Emirates. If we had Silva, Balotelli and Dzeko I would of been annoyed. There was no point trying to outscore them because from the outset they were rampant. They dominated us to the point of us only being able to neutralise them. We are still learning at the top end, not getting beat in a gmae like that was a good result, they hit our post 3 times in the opening 15 minutes! There is a heavy over reliance on David Silva as the guy is a magician. We need cover for him and fast. I dont know who we could get to fill the gap, maybe Kranjcar would be an option or pick up someone from a mid table side like Gerrard. There isnt unfortunately anyone in the division to the standard of Silva and the job he does for us.
  9. DKW. You are right but it was a great point and a point more than you gained. Mancini needs certain players to make our system effective. I feared we would get over run in midfield due to the lack of Silva. The signs weren't good against blackpool when he got taken off. He is our heartbeat. When he isn't in the side the ball comes back at us too quickly. We went to match Arsenal early on, quickly realized if we went for it we were on a hiding as you got. A point was better than none. Say what you like but our ambitions are the top four. I'd take that now. In a year if we are still playing negative then I will be disappointed but as it is, we are second and handing the arses to most teams on our travels so forgive us for not blowing our own brains out against Arsenal by trying to out score them. Dzeko is all but done now. Can't wait to see him play against Wolves. Hope we can better your result. ;)
  10. Barry has been brilliant for us this season. No chance he will be shipped. Delighted with Edin, he is going to be an absolute monster in this league. He gives us another dimension now. We are lacking an aerial presence that will bring more to the team than the like of Santa Cruz and Adebayor.
  11. I am here and awaiting the verbal beating! I have no idea what is going on with Tevez and frankly i dont give a sh*t. He will be gone in the summer no doubt. Shouldnt be captain and my view hasnt changed. As for last night we got sucker punched twice. First goal was all our own doing. The second was not. I was disgusted with Peter Walton last night. How Cahill got away with headbutting Zabaleta and then following it up with an elbow when he got up resulting in him needing four stitches I will never know. Their second goal came directly down the side he was marshalling. We got the living sh*t kicked out of us last night and im sure the ground staff are still picking up the pieces of Zabaleta this morning. How many blatant handballs can a team get away with as well? When Mario hit the post Timmy Tourettes took him out not once, but twice with a shoulder barge as he ran after the rebound. Im absolutely gutted about last night, no way on earth should we have been beaten but we were and we have to get back on it on boxing day.
  12. DKW it's very rare that you and I agree but this is one of those occasions. With the position my club now finds itself in we are one of the few that really have the power to absolutely destroy Carlos and make an example that we will not accept players dictating how our club should be run. We should dump him in the reserves and fine him every time he sees fit to speak out publicly. Tha includes anytime his agent opens his mouth as well. If he refuses to train, fine him and take him to court for breaking his contract. I've been well and truly disgusted by his actions and genuinely didn't believe what a mercenary tossed he actually is. I've just looked a history of statements from which he has left at every club. They are all the same, citing he still loves the fans but differences in the board room had occured. Or someone else was to blame. The most pressing issue for me is to see Him stripped of the captaincy and placed in the reserves until a decision has been made by the club. Westway, I would thinks his most likely destination will be Spain. I can only see his going to Madrid right now, but Inter would probably be interested. I just can't see a place for him in the Barcelona side. He is a very talented player but his first touch at times is a bit loose and I can't see him complimenting their team all that well. I do however see him fitting in with Real. He and Ronaldo both had a good understanding with 'them' and i can imagine that would be an exciting prospect for Jose right now. The problem will be cost, we paid an estimated 46 million to get him away from MSI (shame he is still their glove puppet though) and his stock has certainly risen since we removed the splinters from his arse. I imagine we will want at the very least our money back. I'm not sure on Reals financial situation but I'm sure if they want they can sell their training ground again.
  13. In my eyes he is finished as a player at City. I would love to see him leave today. I would be even more angry at the club should they give him an improved contract for publicly criticising the club. This whole saga though has been driven by Kia. He is talking in public today to every outlet that will give him column inches. He is blaming Garry Cook today, something I think every City fan saw coming. He was the easy and obvious target due to his past misdemeanours. Garry however has acted brilliantly all season, we havent seen or heard from him in months, he is just quietly getting on with his business in the background. Kia has blamed our failure to get Champions league as the reason for Carlos wanting out, a promise that was allegedly made to him at his time of signing. Now for me the timing of this request doesnt ring true. At the time of his transfer request we were sitting joint top of the table and looking every bit as likely to qualify for the champions league this season. There is no reason for him to move at present. It all comes down to the facts that Kia has been marginalised at City and wants an improved contract for his client. The guy is a parasite. The talk today coming from various peole within City is that Carlos has agreed to stay. (Real nice of him that) I imagine he will get a mixed reception from the fans. There is a very large element of faithful supporters that want rid of him, me included, however there will always be the fan who wants to see him stay because he will give everything on the pitch while he is playing. If he were to give his all, achieve our goals and then leave then that would be the professional way of doing it, it would earn him a small piece of respect back in many eyes, but one things for sure our fans are nowhere near as plastic as those from over the road. He wont be having his name sung with the ferocity in which it once. There is only one way I will accept him back at the club. That would be to see him ditch his agent and apologise for his actions. Unfortunately that will never happen.
  14. Apparently we have stuck an 80 million tag on his head and re-opened contract talks also stating he is going nowhere in January. We hold all the aces in this one. He is however the most lethal striker in the league, averaging a goal every 1.6 games. Thats better than any other player in the league so all this "on his day" nonsense is ridiculous. His goals tend to be spread over games as well, not in bunches. I dont want him to stay but any talk of him signing for you is fanciful at best. If we sell it will be abroad. We own him outright, Kia just wants to try and line his pockets with a nice signing on fee, wether that be with us or elsewhere he doesnt care. One things for certain, if we sell, it will be abroad and more than likely Spain.
  15. If thats what he wants then thats 100% fine with me. If he wants that then we should keep his player registration though, then he has a deal. Apparently he is claiming the opposite to our statement though...surprise surprise.
  16. Apparently a statement from Carlos is imminent. Should be interesting. Looking forward to hearing his excuses, rumours abound he is blaming Garry Cook. Probably because he hasnt bent over an upped his rumoured 270k a week including image rights.
  17. Next time we lose i'll log on for the battering. Fair?
  18. Sorry misread it. He will no longer be our captain and we have got to the stage where we can move on without him. Mancini has got us playing brilliantly now. We have the best away form in the league which is a stark contrast to even 12 months ago. If Tevez isnt on board then he can go. Its devastating but no player is bigger than the club and if he has got a god complex then its time to leave. Kia Joorabchin will be behind all this, the guy is a plague but ultimately Carlos signed the request whilst being on special leave to see his family, granted by the club. Absolute sh*t house way to pay us back.
  19. By your logic your just as much a circus as us. Despite us having all the troubles you have mentioned (All being in the last few weeks) we have gone unbeaten where as you have gone into reverse gear ferociously. I'll take our circus if it keeps driving us on.
  20. How so? It does if we bend over for him but that doesnt look likely. If we tell him no, which is quite clear that is exactly what we have done every time he has tried to open negotiations and now rejecting his transfer request, I cant see how that open the doors for anyone? We have told our captain and talisman we will not change our rules for him, I just don't understand your logic. A circus that currently sits top of the league. Its also clear it isnt about champions league football. It is about money and thats it.
  21. Absolutely gutted about this. However the club have played this one very well. Blatant on Kia Joorabchins behalf but he has burnt his players bridges with many of the fans. We need to hand the captaincy to Vincent Kompany immediately. Carlos is obviously a very confused guy but ultimately this boils down to cold hard cash like every player. We hear about the problems with Bobby, we hear he isnt happy and yet he wants a year contract extension and a bumper pay packet. I highly doubt you would pay the sort of money we would be looking for, the most realistic scenario will be him staying here until the summer and then the situation will be re-addressed then. Or we will do what we did with Robinho and send him off to Boca on loan. Any talk of him moving to yourselves is fanciful. I hope we dont do what the plastics from Stretford did and break our club policy of non negotiation during a season to swell an already very rich mans bank balance even further. We have got to the stage now where we are bigger than Carlos. He was warming a bench until we moved for him, his reputation has enhanced considerably since we signed him so he does owe us something. As a club captain his actions have been a disgrace. Ultimately though, I am gutted.
  22. I haven't heard about any of that at all in all honesty. I think Platt had been brought with the exact reason of overcoming the language barrier. His appointment was a really unpopular one with an overwhelming majority of our fans (me included) so Wilkins would be welcomed with open arms if it meant the end of the fat potato headed one. Its certainly an odd bit of timing with you running away with the title, I thought he was doing a top job, so a bit more clarity would ease the situation. If it is controversial at least it will be nothing like the reason why Coppell was so swiftly sacked by us.
  23. Seems a strange one lads. Popped on to see if any of you had any idea as to what had gone on. Wonder if the media will make out you are now a club in crisis as if it was us it would probably make the front page? All the while Tottingham stumble and fall their way around the league with 2 points from twelve and 'Appy 'Arry and his media mates ignore the fact they haven't beaten a side above 13th in the table as of Tuesday.
  24. How Tevez hasnt made that list is beyond me. The guy is just on fire and has been for a complete calendar year and played better than Messi at the world cup. Diego Milito as well. Klose has scored 13 goals this year, Gyan managed 14 in two seasons. Ashley Cole, maybe Lampard and as much as it pains me, Shrek (although he has been sh*t since March), should be on there as well.
  25. I agree with this. I do however think inconsistencies are glaring through. When we played Newcastle, the penalty was given against their last man and he was only showed yellow. Same in the Carling cup final, however the rags have their own set of rules so I probably shouldnt point to that. Boyata is a very promising talent but his naivety came through. Lescott should have started. We could of scored twice in the opening five minutes but nevermind, we didn't. We were well in that game until we ran out of legs which was inevitable after being passed to death at times. David Silva was unplayable though, so thats a positive and Micah Richards looked strong again, also seeing Balotelli on was great news. It would of been a very different game 11 v 11 but we'll never know. We just need to dust ourselves off.
