Not really. Santa Cruz, Adebayor, and Jo are all surplus to requirements and I would expect efforts to be made to punt all three of them this month.

He does look a good player be intresting to see how he gets on in the EPL .

Yup. I would love to see the over/under on what City will get back for them.

Adebayor - 25m

Santa Cruz - 17m (for a whopping four goals)

Jo - 20m (for six goals.....and he scored 7 for Everton on loan)

Hard to believe that is 62 million pounds worth of players. That much money got us Essien, Drogba and Robben. Or Sheva, Veron and Mutu depending on how you look at it.

City are now at the point we were in 2004. They have the talent, and now just need to put it all together. I think they will fall apart down the stretch and Mancini will be sacked, but its not hard to see this current team, with an improved midfield and a top class manager, winning trophies in the near future.

With all due respect but Dzeko aint worth 40m...I dont really know why people think of him that highly.

Also is City going to change their system? Because Tevez will be ahead of Dzeko as the central forward in their 4-3-3. And Dzeko cant play on the wing. Where is he going to play?

Obvoiusly I wasnt there, but Kolo strikes me as a pretty laid back guy, and Adebayor has come across as pretty foolish in the past. Maybe Ade is a little upset he is being shunted out the door.

Maybe a regular punchup does a squad good.

Reminds me of a certain signing we made 6 seasons ago. From what I've seen, big man with unusually good pace and technical prowess. 'Ibrahimovic with a better workrate' I've heard him called. Lets hope he turns out to be Carlton Cole mk II

How many strikers can they play at once? Some of their bench players could do a job for us - e.g. Johnson, Adebayor, Boateong. Macinni has to be considered a failure if he doesn't win the title within 2 years.

Big signing. They are building a mighty squad up there. If he performs well this might just be the one that puts them over the top this season.

Let's hope this takes the wind out of their sails a little this transfer window and doesn't put too much pressure on the valuations clubs are looking for.

After watching City play at Arsenal my only question about Dzeko is where in the defence will he play?

haha, harsh. Mancini obviously wants to blunt other title rivals, and continue to tonk most sides as they have been. I think its hilarious that the Arsenal purists booed them off, when it was their teams finishing which cost them 3 points.

It strikes me that they never did that to us, because, bar the two draws in 2004/5, we have always come to soak up their pressure and beat them with lightning fast counters. The 3-1 game was like bringing back flashbacks of the early noughties where they fackin owned us.
