Drogba to Inter
City fans that I know never hated Chelsea, infact most had a liking for them. Keeping the Rags out of the reach of trophy's, however it is attained, will do that. Saying "pretty much every City fan...." is a tad unfair lol. There are hypocrites everywhere, and I'm not gonna suggest that City are immune in that respect, but most have their head screwed on. Other than that, football is all about banter  PS. The tabloids routinely linking us to the likes of Buffon, Kaka, Aguero, A. Cole etc does give alot of people, mainly the youngsters, an attitude that we can buy anyone. Imo, we may buy 1 "superstar", in Jan, but most will be of very good quality such as the likes of Diarra etc.

Drogba to Inter
Funny you should say that. Rumours up here (Manchester) are very strong that we will be putting in a bid for Drogba. It would be a fantastic signing for us and just what we need, but it wont happen if Inter go in for him, or if Roman is still seething over us nicking Robinho from his clutches.

Abu Dhabi United V Chelsea
There are no wounds, kiddo. I didnt expect us to win today. I was hoping for a draw. We lost. It aint the end of the world. We are 5 years behind you, but it wont take 5 years to get up to your standard, and maybe even surpass you :)

Lol, kinda wish I was that old, then I would have seen some successful City teams!!! 28, old enough to have had a season ticket before the Prem began, young enough to have seen a hell of alot of utter sh*te in a City shirt! :) Hopefully I'll get to see us lifting some trophies in the coming years. Hell, if we don't manage it now, we NEVER will!

Motm Vs Man City
Thought Lampard was your best player, followed by A.Cole. Never even noticed Malouda was on the pitch until he got subbed. I actually thought he was the player coming on when his name was mentioned, cos I honestly didn't notice him beforehand. Cant believe he actually plays for you lot still. Always the worst player whenever I see you play.

Laws?!? , I thought football just a general set of loose rules. More guidelines than anything, or atleast that is how it seems :) I much preferred it when it was more common sense, than ridiculous -to-the-letter laws. Common sense would suggest 2 against 1 , infront of the GK, is a goal scoring chance and a sending off especially as it was a pre-meditated rugby-esque tackle.

I mentioned the Anelka penalty and red card in my thread. However, that was before I saw it on MOTD. Richards hardly touched him. Would have been harsh, but in todays game you get pens for those sorts of non-challenges, seen em given. After seeing MOTD I reckon it was a red card, for reasons already stated. You'll get it rescinded tho, even tho Jo would have just passed it to Robinho for him to bamboozle Cech with his skills, round him and tap it in ;)

Terry's red card was abit harsh, but it was a cynical, pre-meditated foul. Yea Carvalho was there, but so was Robinho. It was a, 2x1, goalscoring opportunity. Right decision. JUST.

Well Done To Chelsea Today
Signed up a week or 2 ago to discuss the numerous events surrounding both our teams, us nipping in for Robinho , SWP and the game. Didnt want to leave you lot (until we play again) without saying well done. Chelsea were excellent today. Certainly the best I have seen you play for a long time. Your passing was crisp, but it was the movement off the ball, particularly in midfield, that really stood out. It was a decent game of football. I thought it was quite even first half, with us (City) playing pretty well. 2nd half Chelsea were the better side by quite a margin, tho we actually had more chances in the 2nd half than we did in the 1st. Ball, Ireland and SWP should have scored and Sturridge went close. Infact now that I think of it, you had more chances in the 1st half than the 2nd. I remember 1 very close headed effort of yours in the 2nd, tho of course you scored 2 aswell. I was impressed with Lampard. I made an effort of watching him quite a bit, esp in the 2nd half (as I was sat in the the half Chelsea were attacking). He sneaks into such dangerous positions I nearly lost my voice from shouting at our players to mark him! . I dunno what it is that makes him such a special player for CHelsea, but an ordinary player for England, but I suppose you lot dont care too much - I wouldnt. I was pleased with Robinho. 3 games in a week and a last minute flight over here to play, but still looked class and always dangerous ( running on adrenaline no doubt). Lovin his goal. The roof nearly exploded lol. I have no hesitation in saying he will be a major success in the prem. City legend in the waiting. The other debutant, Zabaleta was pretty poor TBH, tho it was his first game. He'll need time to adjust. Thought the ref was crap today - for both teams. I thought the red card was correct - tho I have only seen it once, at the game ..... but I thought you had a shout for a pen when Anelka went down from what looked like a push from Richards. Yea, so, anyway, well done. Thought you were excellent today and I cant see any reason why you shouldnt win the league. Utd may have more striking options, but the rest of your team looks so powerful, and there is no better striker in the Prem than an on form Drogba. Think we missed Petrov and Johnson today, but thats no excuse. You are a better team than us at the moment. Good luck for the season. Hope you win the Prem.

Where have I said that Robinho would get us into 4th? All I have said is that if we can be within touching distance of 4th place by January (like we were last season before we faded away away - something we hav done for the past 2 seasons , with Hughes remarking how unfit our squad was when he 1st arrived) then we could add a few class players and make a push for 4th in the 2nd half of the league. I felt we were aiming for top 6 - maybe even battling it out for 5th with VIlla - before the Arab takeover. We have a decent team, whether you choose to dismiss that or not is your choice. Ball, yea, he's not good enough, but Joe Hart is a very very good young keeper. England's no.1 in the future, you'll see.

28 MILL FOR ROBINHO
This is from a man that turned down offers in Europe to go play in the US. You'll like what your own manager, Big Phil thinks of Pele: Link: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03092008/58/...ftershocks.html He is nothing compared to Maradona anyway.

28 MILL FOR ROBINHO
In that article posted above by someone, it said that he basically won Real the title in 2007 ;) Our defense is one of the best outside of the top 4. Ball/LB is the weak point. But Hart would get in at Arsenal and Micah would get in all of the 1st teams , possibly bar yourselves, at the moment. Dunne would get in most sides outside the top 4. Dunne and Ball will probably(Ball definitely) be replaced in Jan or the summer. Dunne is a brilliant old fashioned defender, but he hasnt the composure or skill to push us further, like Ferdinand , Toure, Carvalho have. If we can stay close to 4th spot until Jan (like last season) we may be able to buy a couple of good players to help push us into 4th. The extra fitness training Hughes put the players through should help aswell - seeing how the last 2 seasons we have fallen away(badly) ... Hughes remarked at how unfit we were when he first arrived. If you end up being right, there will always be next season. Which was always gonna be the true start to this new City anyway.
