  1. I'd take him over Scholes now probably even with my critisms of VDV, Scholes is simply past it.
  2. we've got to let these newbies settle in regardless of how long we've been here. Everyones been so friendly with me. You seem a friendly character
  3. I don't think he has the intelligence to create, or be good enough on the ball to link play between the midfielders and the strikers. His best attribute is his pace, and running with the ball, but playing him at the top of the diamond doesn't get the best of his qualities out of him. Lampard is quality in that position, keep him there. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  4. a very overated player, hes capable of great things with the ball at his feet, but hes too inconsistent, and can be average for alot of the time. He wouldn't improve your midfield, and it would probably mean moving Lampard back, which you shouldn't do.
  5. cashley cole was solid at left back, and when valencia came on he stopped him everytime. I thought valencias pace may trouble him but it didnt
  6. 2-1 to Chelski. Hull will be looking to make amends for their awful run at the end of last season and will be more compact, and be difficult to play against. I expect an efficient performance from Chelski though and will come out on top. Lampard to score two.
  7. You were confronting him because he turned a penalty shout down when it wasn't even a penalty. We got abuse when Keane and his merry men scared the sh*ts out of D'Urso for example. We'll get abuse if we confront the referee like you did against Barce. Simple as.
  8. No, the players confronting the ref was because of the decisions the referee had already made. If our players reacted as bad as yours did, then it would have been on the backpage getting abuse likes did.
  9. I was not embarrased, the ref was simply inconsistent and our players confronted him because of his inconsistency. Regarding the Barce game, Ballack chasing the ref down the pitch complaining about the ref not giving a pen, when it wasn't even a penalty anyway was disgraceful. The ref simply chose not to give the pen, which is completely different to the refs situation on Sunday. Drogba was also disgraceful towards the referee that game and deserved everything he got. Our reactions to the ref were from completely different situations, and Drogbas reaction was disgraceful. If our players behaved as badly as yours, then the media wouldn't have let our mob off so lightly.
  10. Attacking full backs add more variety and options to a teams play. Like Bosingwa for you, like Evra for us, like Clichy for Arsenal. Obviously Rafa wants that type of full back to have those options.
  11. My opinion is that Ferguson, Me, Rooney and every United fan would moan yes, but that would show the ref was consistent. He wasn't yesterday. As far as 'dragging it down to a personal level' goes, I have no intention to do that. I wouldn't be happy to see any player have a serius injury. If you would delete that part of your post then that would be great.
  12. You're right. I would moan, Fergie and Rooney would moan, but then we can say the ref was consistent in his decision making. Yesterday, he wasn't.
  13. There isn't room for the both of them. Battling it out for a place in your midfield. Who would you prefer? Whats your opinions on them? Ballack, for me, used to be a classy player, hes had the odd good games at Chelski but hasn't performed to the standard that he used to. Once touted as one of the best, he has been shown up to be inferior to Frank Lampard by quite some way. Used to be a midfield general, but just hasn't happened for him. Mikel, an ambitious youngster, who is only going to improve, and has already shown maturity beyond his years. Composed on the ball, intelligent, keeps things tidy for Chelski, but doesn't have the reputation Ballack has. This is a player that has talent, playing Ballack ahead of him now will only hinder his progression as a player. I'd have Mikel before Ballack for your first team.
