Man City v Chelsea (PL) 25/09/10 KO 12:45 BST
Ramires Mikel Essien midfield would be perfect, they can all put in a defensive shift and win the midfield battle comfortably.Don't flame me for this but i think creatively/movement of Ramires/Essien/Mikel are a lot more dynamic than the midfield we had last season, they can pick out better passes and judging from the last few games they have excellent understanding. So i reckon we'll beat them this time around for that reason. I hope Ancelotti has something extra up his sleeve though because knowing Mancini,he will know how to nullify Chelsea's movements.

Chelsea v Newcastle (CC) 22/09/10 19:45 BST
Looking at the game objectively. We DID score 3 goals,in any other match that would be enough for a win barr the injuries and the horrific goalkeeping. Some might argue that the keeper still had a lot to do for those shots on goal but our 2nd choice goalkeeper should be keeping Cech on his toes and perhaps one day challenge for no.1 but neither Ross Turnbull nor Hilario are capable of doing so.I really want to know who was responsible for scouting Turnbull, his positioning is shocking Newcastle could have scored more if they put some of their efforts on target when Turnbull was completely caught out. I thought our youngsters actually did ok except for Bruma but people must remember that with Center Backs it's all about experience and they usually peak in their late 20s,Bruma is 18 so it's hard to judge right now. It's a lot easier for guys like Kakuta and McEachran to step in because their mistakes aren't magnified and don't have the same consequences. I didn't mind the performance at all just need a better goalkeeper, that wall he set up for the free kick was probably the worst i've seen for a long time. What's important is that this definitely isn't reflective of our first team.

My god who was responsible for buying our backup keepers? They are worse than terrible.I don't think i've ever seen any potential in Ross after all the games i've watched of him. I don't particularly care that we lost but doesn't really excuse soft errors.

Toni Kroos
Surprised no one has started a thread about this but - http://tinyurl.com/2wfwl4k http://www.espnstar.com/football/premier-league/news/detail/item502601/Toni-Kroos-to-replace-Lampard/ Date of birth: 04.01.1990 Place of birth: Greifswald Age: 20 Height: 1,82 Nationality: Germany Position: Midfield - Playmaker Foot: both http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/toni-kroos/profil/spieler_31909.html Great talent and would be perfect for our current system, great passer of the ball, creative, has a precise long shot a bit like Kaka's where he doesn't hit it hard but he'll place it nicely, however i'm not sure Bayern would be willing to let go off one of their rising star youth products though even if he's not getting game time.

It's a little suicidal of Blackpool to play high pressing + offside trap.

Well there's no point dragging defenders if there aren't any players making runs. Torres is definitely not in form right now but currently L'pool's static midfield is their main problem and it's one their current crop of players can't solve. But by the looks of it their midfield got the word to push up more from the halftime talk...Won't do anything though because they are way too static. I hope they get a late penalty or something so they'll draw hehe....

You don't understand it's not Torres' fault the problem is their midfield In Liverpool's current set up they have no one that penetrates from midfield past the opponents defense which means if Torres drops back and "WORKS HARDER" like the idiotic pundits all suggest then they have NO STRIKER.Technically that should be Gerrard or Joe Cole's job but not doing it for whatever reason. It's all fine and dandy to clog up the midfield so you win that battle but you need a box-to-box in the mix to link up the departments. You can tell half of them have absolutely no clue what they are doing because they are all looking for the safe options,no through balls,no onetwos...nothing... I usually just laugh @ them but i'm starting to feel sorry for the scouse, what an absolute mess they are in.

It's actually fine not having that much width, they have Johnson going down the flanks, the main thing is linking midfield and attack, they need someone in front of Meireles to link up with him and also who can penetrate from behind with Torres.Liverpool fielded a team of midgets it's not like anyone's going to get on the end of a cross. There was one time when Torres had to ball and beat his marker but he had no one to play off,Joe cole should be there but like Carlo said the guy is tactically inept. Also playing Dirt Kuyt deep in the center of midfield is also laughable what is Roy doing? And....Berbatov just scored

Jesus Navas
HEY ZEUS ! I hope this happens. And he's not like Robinho,he's more direct and dare i say....more versatile than Robinho.Robinho has a better set of skills and playing through tight spaces, but HEYZEUS is more of a crosser/long ranged shot type.Bit like Jose Antonio Reyes. And BTW i reckon Robinho would've done well under Carlo because he knows how to get the best out of technical players.

Ibrahimović to Chelsea?
Mate It wasn't a Journalist it was Arrigo Sacchi...Apparently Sacchi made a comment during his transfer last season from Inter --> Barca that Ibra is a soloist, not a team player, therefore wouldn't fit in to Barcelona.Ibra didn't take too kindly to those words and decided to take it up with him on national tv I've give it to him the guy has ballz http://tinyurl.com/2ackj2t Or if you understand Italian - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XFXvIDu_PE Allegri the new coach sure has his hands full.
