Greatest manager
now i think you are extracting the urine, you have to go on results my old son. For example when the arsenal won the double in 71 it was bertie mee who won it but others say it was howe etc who built the team

Greatest manager
the special one .... No doubt about it, but Carlo is not far off. The worst, well take your pick. It is all about winning trophies and both have done that.

another classic chelsea v arsenal match
they were unfortunatley there from 69 to 74, the biggest probably in 72. Not the fa cup game in 73 as it was all ticket, i went to the replay at highbury and our support was bagwash as it was always there until 76

Great away days of the past
what was a country bumkin doing with Raquel Welch then ?
-
another classic chelsea v arsenal match
well they have not won anything for years, so don't worry about it !
-
Great away days of the past
you could include Cooke and The sponge in with those two.

another classic chelsea v arsenal match
that was a conspiracy on a par with JFK ! They did not want two english clubs in the final again, i watched the game in France and even they were saying that there could have been 5 penalties.

another classic chelsea v arsenal match
we are also for Madrid, can't stand the arrogance of the catalan club, one club i feel that will do just about any playacting to win. That conspiracy of a semi final made it even worse!

another classic chelsea v arsenal match
my son is PSG and there is no love lost between the two sides. They are playing this sunday at the Parc des princes with no away support allowed at either game. In fact PSG have played behind closed doors 3 times already this season !

why juventus ? I also must add marseille (nothing to do with the champions league)

another classic chelsea v arsenal match
Barcelona definitley, where are man u and liverpool, surely they must be up there. And I have a dislike for leicester 1 they used to give it the big one up there but never come to the Bridge and 2 the winging after Lebouefs penalty two bob!

funny that most people want us to beat spurs, me it is west ham. And why do they hate us so much....jealousy ?

champions league 2-1 at highbury, i think even Ranieri cried !
-
Great away days of the past
i read that the manager said ... i could not see us winning anything with him. Venables has also said that he could have stayed at Chelsea for the whole of his career. I think if we had him and Ossie in the final in 67 we would have won it.

Great away days of the past
I still am not sure about Graham for Baldwin, and why get rid of Venables (who was never the same player when he left )
-
scariest ground
a 3-0 defeat and the worst day in Chelsea history, not bad !
-
Great away days of the past
I have met the Doc, lovely bloke and Chelsea is his first love. You forgot about Tony Hateley and the other sending home incident at Barcelona !
-
Great away days of the past
thats a bold statement, when he arrived we had not long been beaten by Leeds 7-0 and the Doc had to go ( who won one league cup and sent everyone home when we were doing well oh and sold our two brilliant midfielders)he turned all this round and we won cups , allright i admit it all went pear shaped at the end but you cannot take that away from him
-
scariest ground
aaah the football specials, arrive at Euston, St Pancras etc with loads of cans, a few games of cards, loads of banter and then on the way back word would go round the train that West Ham were waiting for you , then get home and get down the boozer happy days !
-
Great away days of the past
i think that Sexton thought that they were not pulling their weight in a side that was playing badly and there was no discipline. I think by then the glory days were over, for me the east stand was the final nail in the coffin

What's the most away fans you can remember us taking away?
i also was at old trafford but i cannot get all misty eyed over the full members cup, but at the time any trophy and to be at Wembley was a bonus. As Bluebeard has already said before, the atmosphere against Watford at whl was good where we must have had nearly 40 000

thats about the same as we took to the fa cup final replay, which is the best support we have had at ANY game.
