  1. graham, all 4 sides were open but a temporary stand at the shed end, but correct me if i am wrong
  2. it was a question not an analysis !! Good player and somed great goals and took some games by the scruff of the neck and dominated the midfield ie Southampton at home in the league cup, but just a bit too inconsistent, that is my analysis
  3. kerry dixon, now that is a legend. I will never forget the semi final against luton and the ovation he got at the end.
  4. was that some of the dead wood that neal got rid of then ? And there were a few at the time.
  5. i don't know which was the better atmosphere 78 or 82 or even 97 but all three were pretty special. I would plump for 97.
  6. i remember a game in 92 when bobby stuart scored a decent goal ( it was on sky) in front of only 17, 000 !
  7. the 1982 game there was a lot of violence in the north stand where liverpool were attacked and there were plenty of photos in the papers about it.
  8. fa cup 75 sheffield wed at home, they had a mob in the north stand and got run, birmingham at home in the next round had a big mob but got the same, at this game chelsea were singing, we want a riot and the shed were trying to get on the pitch, afterwards in the tube it was chelsea v the old bill at fulham broadway
  9. the yellow paint game, we arrived at 2pm and there was a mass brawl in the shed with arsenal getting the upper hand, they stayed in near the middle until the second half when a mob of chelsea came in from the other side led by the leader of that time, no horses though
  10. it was no real disgrace at highbury as not many teams took it to the arsenal in those days apart from west ham. Strange because they were humiliated at the bridge the same year, ask bluebeard about the yellow paint
  11. what chelsea there were and they were not many, got scattered in the clock end after our first goal.
  12. no, we were singing it. Those two games in 76 and boxing day in 77 was probably the best that we have ever had away in london, especially in 77
  13. i hope that hutch was not in the clock end that day in 74 as chelsea got mullered, with the chant of sh....ers ringing out from the north bank
  14. but i am somwhere exotic geyser, here is a clue .. johnny rep and of course my handle, now i am going out for a light ale son.
  15. i am from sarf london, work the rest of it out from my title ! Allright son! I am feeling a bit mullered after all this
  16. calm down, thats a bit strong ! Doing the offmans means that they have done a bunk,
  17. she did the offmans, can you blame her?
  18. toi, i will try to get it right next time !!
  19. 1 the ian healy ( i think) that put us into the european cwc final in 71 2 the goals from the cup game at palace in 70 3 the charlie cooke goal against spurs in 71 and the hollins goal at spurs in 72 or am i just being greedy !
  20. has anyone got the goals from this game at highbury, we won 3-0 and i know it was on itv or the goals from the game at the bridge a year later where olly scored the goal of the season?
  21. in that millwall game many players said that they had never played in a hostile atmosphere like it, that is probably why we were 3-0 down at half time
