Spain again,in a spain 82 offical hooligan tee shirt(loads had them not just me),Met a Belgium standard liege fan out there and we got chatting and swapped addresses, six months later he turns up with no warning on my doorstep,so i put him up for a few days and take him out on the piss and even took him to a tattooist and he had a Chelsea tattoo done.Used to swap letters with him like a pen pal now and again and the last i heard from him was he was in a Belgium jail for some football related thing.Got a picture of him somewhere proudly showing off his Chelsea tattoo next to his standard liege one http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us

Spain 82, and another long trip.Train to paris, then a boat to Santaner i think it was and then a train though spain to Barclelona and up to a place called Blanes(near lloret de mar.My mates were already out there so turned up on the beach and walked up and down for about 3 hours till i found them and dossed down in there apartment with about 12 others.Day of the game v France got a train to Barclelona and a 12 hour trip to madrid.Loads of chelsea in with the French and it all kicked off,ob with electric prods battering everyone and a 12 hour trip back.Stayed a part of the trip in the basque region who loved us and even arranged a game of football them v us. http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us

http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us Denmark 82,another good turn out by chelsea fans and another riot,All i can recall about this trip was how big some of the danes were,no wonder the vikings sacked everything, and hicky flying down the terraces into plain clothes old bill and waking up in hotel room after a night on it with this big heavy viking sword in the corner what my mate had nicked from a bar.

England's CFC support.
Switzerland 1981,again went by coach and boat from Battersea and was involved in a full scale riot before we had even left.(pic of battersea lot on Hicky's coach link).Well this started when 5 blokes had a row with 5 blacks(if i'm allowed to say that) outside our pub in Battersea.(this was at a time when the race riots were on).Within 10 mins it was like bloody Zulu with the blacks pouring off the estates to have a go,there was two coach loads of us waiting to leave and believe me we had our backs to the wall fighting them off and in the end after the old bill turned up we were escorted off in our coaches.Got to France and both coaches broke down and we had to wait for them to be repaired, fighting on the boat(think it was west ham)Riot in switzerland after we lost 2-1 again.Funny enough i remember it being a good trip. http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us

Norway 81 and a 2-1 loss, went by coach and boat, never used to fly in those days cant remember why, weather it was too expensive or what.Chelsea always had good numbers around this time, probably because it was the only way to see a game in Europe(unlike nowadays).I seem to recall scousers asking for our help as west ham were taking the piss,The hammers always done their own thing, never went with anyone.Scousers were only interested in robbing(nothing changes there then)utd had good numbers, but i would say chelsea had the best numbers around this time.I recall being told that any trouble would result in 30 days jail no questions asked, and at half time it all kicked off with the old bill, someone behind me threw a bottle what knocked a copper straight out and they piled in for a arrest. As i stepped aside to let them pass they arrest me and i thought F**king hell i'm in trouble here.As in goes the fifty odd chelsea i went with steamed in and i managed to get away and went straight back to the coach missing the second half(not that i missed much) and was glad when we finally set off for home. http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us

First went to a England away game in 1977 in Luxumberg, not many St george's flags about in those days.Think England needed to win 9-0 and only won 2-0 and went on the rampage smashing the ground, town and the luxumberg army which were called in.I also remember going back to the ground the next day to get some pictures and there was some fans there early in the morning smashing what was left up again. As a 16 year old it was quite a eye opener. http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us

Huddersfield at home league cup lost 1.0, a certain poster tubbed his now mrs in the shed end ladies bog during the game, at least one Chelsea bod scored that night ;-) Talking of tubbing birds,i can remember being in the rising sun for the evening after a game and needed a piss and there was a big queue of about 20 lads coming out the door,it was taking for ever and i was nearly pissing myself by the time i got in,it turns out there was some bird in there and the queue was to shag her,i remember her saying hang on lads i'm knackered, let me have a couple of drinks and we're start again,And no i didnt have a go.

Only went twice on Hicky's coach as i went more with the Battersea lot, once to Hull on a thursday night for the banned game and to Exeter for a pre-season friendly both ended in a riot,he was at my wedding reception though,in a pub in Battersea with about 100 of chelsea's finest.

I can remember a trip to Oldham by coach being a good trip,2 coaches turned up at their supporters club to watch the offical supporters play a match against oldham offical supporters and then on the piss after in their bar, lots of banter flying around but no trouble till a mob of man city turned up and the oldham boys and chelsea boys run the city fans together,i can remember them (oldham) waving us off as we boarded our coach late into the night. As for wrexham went there twice and drank in their supporters bar too and can't remember any trouble either,Shrewsbury has a funny story one year, there was a newspaper article on it somewhere, shrewsbury were really in trouble money wise and had only 3 or 4 match balls with the groundsman having to row a boat out to fetch the ball everytime one was kicked over into the river, well the first ball was kicked into the chelsea end and was duely passed along the chelsea fans to be belted out the ground and off went the groundsman,5 mins later the second ball and the same thing, gets down to the the last ball and same thing again just as the groundsman comes puffing and running back with the first ball, had him going the whole of the first half and think the chelsea fans got bored with it in the end,i'd loved to find that article. And another trip to Shrewsbury when it had been snowing and having a snowball fight with speedie and a few other chelsea players.

Went to the Bolton one as well and its just like Volk said, only thing is i was only 16/17 and with my dad and his mate.I can remember nearly everyone on the train was pissed, walking to the ground i found my mate pissed and asleep just outside so we carried him in and he slept the whole game on the terraces at the away end,i too had to stay at the away end as 1 my mates asleep and 2 I'm with my dad.Anyway we took all the abuse for the chelsea taking their end and for good measure a horse trod on my dad's foot and he nearly got nicked for calling the copper a C**t. Funny the things you remember

Yeah i went to Rotherham, one of my worse trips.Set of early by coach to be there for 11 o clock opening time, met on the motorway by the old bill and escorted straight to ground where we were put straight in on the open side bit of terrace,4 hours on a open terrace just waiting for the game to start, pissing down with rain, lost 6-0,missed a twice taken pen,few of ours got slapped in their end,put back on coach and escorted back to motorway to journey home.Support was still great though, still singing when we were 6-0 down. Not one of my better days out with Chelsea.

Was waiting for a coach to take us to Bristol city early 80's in Battersea which failed to turn up,so someone went over to the bus station and nicked a double decker red bus what was loaded up with crates of beer and we went up there on that.On the way back we saw a sign Barn dance and about 20 of us all skinheads in dm boots went to this barn dance and the locals welcomed us,stomping up and down to take your partners one two three,Got back to Battersea and dumped the bus which was trashed for good measure.

Leeds 83
Not sure if this is the 82/83 or the 83/84 game, but that side terrace and the seats above was chelsea.,.Went up to Leeds in 1978 on the special and although don't remember much about the day up there, about 8 of us came out of kings cross and was walking to our van we had parked up a back st when a pub full of west ham attacked us,one of my mates were stabbed and as bricks were coming over our heads as we was legging it i trod on one and nearly went down. That has always stuck in my mind when we play Leeds,All the way there and back with no trouble only to get done on your own manor.Still me and my mate lived to tell the tale and i still look back with fond memories of those days. http://imageshack.us'>ImageShack.us
