First of all, he isn't a 'nasty twat', he isn't known to be a particularly dirty player. Chelsea fans love/loved David Luiz who wasn't an angel on the pitch. Secondly, Ashley Cole was associated with Arsenal. Thirdly, he hasn't criticised our club, if you believe the quote that is doing rounds on twitter about permission to kill him if he ever wears a Chelsea shirt, then please don't be so gullible. Just a little bit of research will show you that he never said that. Finally, about the diving part, we had and have a fair amount of players who like to hit the ground a little bit too easily (notable examples include Drogba and Oscar). 

His Gooner past makes it all the more tempting to be honest.
 
If he lives up to his potential within our current set up he would be another player they believe should have been a great for them that turns out becoming a key player in our new evolution and if he's as successful and effective as the last player we got from them then it will piss them of all the more while seeing us reep the benefits. Win Win
 
Add to that he is the exact type of player we are missing right now, He's bout a year older then Luiz and is looking about 13 million cheaper. I just can't see a down side here

36 PL - 8 goals 5 league cup - 2 goals 4 FA cup - 1 goals 6 Champ league - 3 goals 9 Europa league - 6 goals   20 goals / 60 games   When you consider how many of these games he was subbed on or subbed off, and you consider that we have a lot of players who like to score goals, its a pretty good season. I'm not saying he's brilliant I just think sometimes he deserves more credit than people give him.

I'm not a Torres fan at all and have wanted him sold for a while. However, well done to the guy. He's playing much better currently, scoring goals regularly, and it looks as though the confidence is returning. If he can keep this up then fantastic, though I do have my reservations.
Let's stop micro-analysing his every move. Even those of us, such as myself, who generally don't put much faith in him. He's playing well AND scoring goals at the moment, so there's nothing for anyone to criticise.
If it goes to sh*t again then fine. But let's enjoy Torres' mini-revival for now.

It's undeniable that the sudden rush of goals will have worked wonders for Torres' confidence, not to mention his goal stats.

However, you do have to take into account the quality of the opposition: relegation candidates Sunderland, Nordsjaelland - among the poorest, least experiences sides in this years' Champions League, and Monterrey, who weren't exactly impressive.

Having said that, I'm not so impressed by criticism of the quality of goals scored. Thirty yard screamers, brilliant team work, shinners, off the arse and own goals, they all count equally. If there's an element of luck, then it's also true that there's a lot to be said for the argument that you make your own luck.
 

Played his part in 2 goals today, he has not been doing that for a while before the last few games.

I think everyone should be happy as long as this continues, a on form Torres is only good for this club.
